Was Waller the Perriman backup plan all along?

IT'S RUMORED THAT TREASTMAN WANTED WALLER

ALL ALONG BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE AND HE HAD THOSE

TALL WRs IN CHICAGO AND ARIZONA.

ARTICLE SAYS WALLER MIGHT SEE MORE PLAYING

TIME THAN PEOPLE THINK.

THEY ALSO WANT TO TRY HIM OUT AT TE

WHERE GEORGIA TECH FANS THINK ITS HIS

NATURAL POSITION.

Like every year, there are a ton of interesting players to keep our eyes in camp.

He's got to be more than 1 dimensional or he's just another Clarence Moore.

True but he had good mini and rookie camps. He never dropped a pass in college

and was tied for best in the country for drops or no drops.

He's already no Alligator Arms Moore, that stupid bastard and could easily play

TE making him a multi-dimensional threat.

Yes indeed. He is a stud. Good way to put it. Great post.

There was a pic during mini camp with Trestman walking down the field in the middle of

Perriman and Waller and he looked like a midget. Didn't even reach their shoulders -lol.

As the girls always say, size matters --lol.

Speaking of Campy, I'm still holding out hope and so are Ravens. He made a few good plays last

year with a 19 yard TD on a difficult pass vs Bucs plus 4 catches for 39 yards in NE playoff game.

If he can beat the injury bug he'll be good like here. He has also played on special teams fielding

punts.

Watch out for DeAndre Carter. I think this kid is going to be a player this training camp. Elite quickness (sub-3.9 SS!) and playmaking ability.

Great article on Waller btw. I am excited to see how Trestman uses him. If Waller is still raw, his talent is such immense that it might be tough to keep him on the roster knowing he won't contribute much. I wonder if he has a "mysterious injury" on goes on IR aka red shirts.

Camp can be a chain mover like Mason.

Campanaro will wind up on the practice squad. I think he's safest there as no team will try to sign him given his injury history. I still can't wrap my head around the Wenning and Campanaro picks. In a year when we desperately needed bodies in the secondary, we traded 2 picks for a guy with an injury history dating back to high school and a QB with a noodle arm. What was Ozzie thinking?

Ozzie was thinking playoffs which he made again thanks to his top picks that

produced like MOsley who just missed rookie of year and Jernigan who filled in

so well for Ngata and had a good POs when he returned. Jernigan allowed

Ozzie to trade Ngata for picks that got him the best TE, Maxx this year and Zadarius

Smith who made Dupree good in college by taking up his blockers.

Wenning was cut but they wanted a backup and Campy is still in the picture

for another great draft for Ozzie. At the beginning of the year he had Webbie

and Jimmy on the team but both would go down during camp and the season.

He goes to another SB if just Jimmy Smith doesn't get injured.

It's only one day but...

From the Ravens website:

- Wide receiver Michael Campanaroicon-article-link.gif returned to action after missing offseason practices with a thigh injury. He showed no signs of rust after the long layoff, and was able to get through the entire practice. He ran crisp routes and made a handful of tough catches during one-on-one drills. Campanaro is in the middle of a tight competition at receiver, and Thursday was a good sign for the second-year wideout.

Here's a question for you guys.

After last year's draft, DeCosta did a radio interview at MOther's in Fells Point and mentioned

that the front office almost signed a WR for mega bucks but decided vs it and signed Steve

Smith Sr.

That WR sounds like Edelson signed by NE and he had a good season and vs us in

POs.

Who would you rather have - SR or Edelson?

Webb was not going to be 100% coming into the season and we lost Graham to FA, we needed bodies in the secondary. Drafting a noodle armed QB and trading the next years' pick to get back into the draft to get Campanaro defies Ozzie logic.
