This is the most relevant thing about the World Cup to me.

Like the NCAA Basketball Tournament, I think the World Cup is a great tournament. For that reason I end up watching some of both even though I just dont like basketball or soccer.

The US is lucky to have gone this far.  The US still does not get its elite athlete in soccer.

“My philosophy is winning comes first,” Roman said. “I’m not chasing stats. Job justification stats, water cooler talk – I’m not really into that. I’m into whatever helps the team to win. Along with that, though, a physical style. Meaning we’re in control. It starts up front, but it extends everywhere. It’s a mindset. [I’m] very big on approaching the game from that perspective.”

It's a shame it didn't work out for Tim at United but he is doing really well at Everton now and that was an amazing record breaking performance against Belgium.

Watching the US I think you guys are probably short about 1-2 really good players (don't even need to be world class) from being possible World Champs. Probably a striker and an attacking midfielder.

On a side note it has been suggested that Tim Howard could even have saved........Tiger Woods' marriage. lol.
