I think the Jags is an absolute L for the Ravens.

Who cares about skill level? We got the job done that's the bottom line

Michael Pierce is a Monster. All day they pushed in the center of the pocket. Wait and see what happens with Dumerville coming back, Judon, Suggs game by game returning to form, ...I friggin love what is happening with the D line. Conversely, McCown doesn't.

No. I am just evaluating the team. I never would have thought Cle would do that.

Bc skill level translates to wins.

Right now that is all that matters. Look, this team is young at the key parts- both lines. With each game they should get better. If they do, this team will win a lot of games. If not, they will lose more than they win.

In between we will see inconsistency durring each game.

This secondary is maxed out on talent, we have see this terrible play for years; they suck. Same with the middle backers, who both blew this entire game, even with Mosley's pick at the end ( two other players had a shot at that as well)

The running backs are average at best. Wide outs, they are solid but Flacco doesn't get the time to utilize their talents deep down field. With more games, if the line improves, he will.

But if they were to start off the season with Pitt and Cinci, I have no doubt this team would be 0-2 right now...

Agree. They would be 0-2. The scheduling gods are favoring the Ravens. They are giving them time to get their shit together.

Agree on the RB situation but I must add the O line is giving them 0 rushing lanes. 26 carries, 80 yards, 3.1ypc. I was calling for Buck Allen in the 3rd quarter. They really need Dixon. Bad.

True, there was seldom room to run. But there were a number of times there was if the back cut inside or outside, & the back just ran into the pile.

Same goes for the pocket. Most of the time Flacco had men pushed into his face as he was throwing, seldom a clean pocket.

Even so, he clearly is favoring the knee, not stepping into the throw completely, thus, once again many low passes on short throws, off target or over thrown passes down field...

Bortles just threw his 2nd interception...

Jeff Zrebiec, Ravens reporter: The Ravens won't be able to overcome the issues that plagued them today against too many other teams. Give them credit for making some plays late and give the assist to a phantom taunting call on Terrelle Pryor. However, until team figures out to run the ball better and more consistently, they are going to play a lot more games like this.

Mark Selig, Ravens editor: The Ravens have defeated two of the worst five teams in the league, and it's been close each time. But winning tight games in the NFL is a talent, no matter who you beat. Joe Flacco is gaining familiarity with his receiving corps; the running game now needs to show up.http://www.carrollcountytimes.com/sports/bal-instant-analysis-ravens-browns-20160918-story.html

I thought the play calling by Trestman was abysmal once again. Why in the world would you try screen passes when your linemen can't pass block? Letting defenders in easier is a clear sign of a screen... Running on short yardage when they get no push at all?

No imagination in the route combinations. Just watch other games, see how easy the passes & catches + yac yards are because of the route combinations....

The Ravens are consistent at some things.

1. Notorious slow starts. In today's case...horrific.

2. Winning ugly. They make themselves and anybody they play feel filthy.

3. Poor run blocking. These guys are not road graders.

Now...give me time, but I can point out what looks good and is developing. There is hope! :gorave:
