The combination of a roster construction that completely lacks elite playmakers and some of the most conservative coaching schemes in the league is not working. It has not worked for a long time. Since the Ravens miraculous championship in 2012, the team has a regular season record of 34-36 with a total point differential of +14.

This level of mediocrity is unacceptable for a coaching staff that preaches continuity and a front office that continually leverages future salary cap space for stopgap solutions. With the seventh oldest roster in the NFL and the sixth least disposable cap space next offseason, the immediate future of the Ravens franchise appears bleak.

Head coach John Harbaugh’s message has grown stale. General manager Ozzie Newsome’s philosophies have become outdated. Judging by the large increase of empty seats on gameday, many in the fanbase have lost patience with this regime. After another embarrassing and uninspired loss, the time has come for team owner Steve Bisciotti to make wholesale changes.

Certainly Joe is not functioning in this type of offense. He is very serviceable and more than adequate in an offense that builds around his strengths.

A new administration can do this, just as Kubes did.

Too many forget how difficult it is to find a good quarterback of even Joe's stature.

Look at the many teams with their qb's of today.

I think Darnold, Rosen, and Allen are better. Riley Ferguson is very interesting too.

I want no part of Rosen. He's a franchise killer. Million Dollar arm and 10cent personality.

I love Darnold but I'm just not sure about him yet. The SC coaches have messed with his throwing motion and he is now sailing a lot of balls. He had a bit of a funky action where he dropped the throwing hand in the wind up a little but the ball was coming out fast and on target and now not so much. The kid is a leader though and is amazing with the game on the line.

If we draft at a spot where there is a big time QB available then we have to take him but as we are more or less stuck with Joe through 2018 I would look to build the O-Line and receiving core in the next draft and then go all out for a QB once Joe is off the books in 2019.

They can get Baker Mayfield in the 3rd likely. He needs to mature, but he moves extremely well in the pocket, throws great on the run, is very accurate down field. Sure, he is short and a bit of a gambler, but he would have two years or so to mature and learn...not a bad "project", certainly better than a navy quarterback...

Frank Ragnow, C/G, Arkansas

Height: 6-5. Weight: 317.

Projected 40 Time: 5.24.

Projected Round (2018): 2-3.

10/14/17: While Ragnow has played well, Arkansas hasn't been as efficient at running the ball this year. Ragnow has continued his durability and balanced play for the Razorbacks.

7/17/17: Ragnow could be in the running to be one of the top center prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft. Over the past two seasons, he hasn't allowed a single sack while taking on excellent competition. As one can expect coming from Arkansas, Ragnow is also a tough run blocker. He is a technician who enters his senior year having made 26 straight starts. As a sophomore, Ragnow was the Razorbacks starter at right guard. He has the size to be a guard or center in the NFL.

Arden Tate*, WR, Florida State

Height: 6-5. Weight: 225.

Projected 40 Time: 4.56.

Projected Round (2018): 1-3.

10/7/17: Tate has 13 receptions for 226 yards and three touchdowns this year across three games, but he has been really impressive. The huge receiver is a mismatch weapon who gives defensive backs a lot of problems. He is very dangerous to win jump balls downfield and is a real red-zone weapon. Tate's numbers are held back by playing with the backup quarterback, but Tate has huge potential and upside for the NFL.

Simmie Cobbs Jr.*, WR, Indiana

Height: 6-4. Weight: 220.

Projected 40 Time: 4.55.

Projected Round (2018): 1-3.

10/7/17: Cobbs has 23 receptions for 272 yards and three touchdowns so far this season. In a thoroughly impressive performance, Cobbs had his way with the highly acclaimed Ohio State defense. Cobbs got the better of every corner the Buckeyes matched up against him as he totaled 149 yards and a touchdown on 11 receptions. Cobbs showed size, hands, quickness, route-running, body control, and the ability to win 50-50 passes. That was a phenomenal start to the season for Cobbs.

7/17/17: Cobbs Jr. missed the 2016 season with an ankle injury, but he showed some big-play ability in 2015 when he caught 60 passes for 1,035 yards (17.3 average) and four touchdowns. He is a big receiver who has an intriguing skill set. Cobbs could feasibly return to Indiana if he was given a medical redshirt for the 2016 season.

I like Cobbs. I watched the Michigan Indiana game and he showed up big in that one as well so he is doing it against the cream of the Big 10. He seems to catch most things thrown his way and that is the type of WR we need. We haven’t had that physical presence since Boldin.
