Jimmy has been a very bright light

He's been the shutdown guy and off to his best season ever because he's been relatively healthy.

Definitely a bright spot and top 5 CB....maybe higher.

Moore rarely gets sacked, but most of those sacks and QB hits were coverage sacks.

I'd like to see Humphrey get some more reps at the other CB. And Jaylen Hill, too.

I'd like to see Chuck Clark eventually get some reps at safety, instead of just ST. He's a rookie from Va Tech and is a thumper. He'd be a nice replacement for either Weddle or Jefferson.

Secondary of Smith, Humphrey, Hill and Clark? that's the making of a good strong unit for years to come.

Here's Prestons mid season report on the Ravens #7 ranked secondary.

Cornerbacks Jimmy Smith, Brandon Carr and Marlon Humphrey have played well. If Smith stays healthy, he could become the top corner the Ravens envisioned when they drafted him in the first round in 2011. All three cornerbacks play without fear and can play press coverage. All three can run, and both Carr and Smith have played well in run support. The play of the safeties has been a problem. Both Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson have struggled in tackling and pass coverage. Because both are veterans, they are expected to pull through this mini-slump. Grade: C+..........http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bs-sp-preston-ravens-grades-20171030-story.html

One more playmaker on the D line, at safety and at LB and this could be a very strong unit.

Yea...so things on D are headed in the right direction.

I don't agree with this mid season power ranking.....

25. Ravens (28): They're MVP might be DT Brandon Williams. Baltimore is 3-1 when their massive run stuffer is in lineup and 1-3 without him.........https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/nfl-week-9-power-rankings/ss-AAugysh?li=BBnba9I#image=8

16 teams have worse records than the Ravens.

The Ravens are actually in the playoff hunt.

3 cheers for Mediocrity!
