No pads, yet a good start

There were good reports coming from the rookie camp.

Hurst, Andrews, ....Lasley...

Here's a few:

Jordan Lasley was the most impressive wide receiver of Ravens rookie minicamp. Lasley, a fifth-round pick out of UCLA, used his speed to get separation, ran good routes and made catch after catch. One knock has been his hands. But Lasley didn't let one pass hit the ground Saturday. "He flashed athleticism – smooth, quick, made a couple catches out there, loves to play, loves to practice, boisterous kind of guy," coach John Harbaugh said. "He was fun to be around."....http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/bal/

Ravens tight end Hayden Hurst was impressive at rookie minicamp, smoothly running routes and showing soft hands. The first-round pick caught nearly everything thrown his way. Hurst almost pulled in a one-handed grab in the back of the end zone.

“A fourth-round pick out of Alabama, Averett didn’t do anything outstanding,” Zrebiec wrote. “But you could tell how confident and comfortable he was, which isn’t surprising given the program he came from.

“… An undrafted free agent out of Alabama-Birmingham, Williams made several plays on the ball and nearly came away with a few interceptions. In just two college seasons, he had 26 passes defended and six interceptions. It will be tough for an undrafted free agent to make the roster this year at cornerback, but Williams should get plenty of opportunities to state his case.”.....http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-for-Work-57-What-to-Make-of-Flacco--Jackson-Not-Talking-Yet-Rookie-Minicamp-Standouts/17d82214-9e0a-43c6-8783-7e60858b2f02

Fifth-round safety DeShon Elliott is a talker. He’s already taking charge in the back end of the defense and also has some swagger about him.
It’s hard for offensive linemen to stand out too much, but on one play, sixth-round center Bradley Bozeman shoved a blitzing linebacker so hard – as he dropped in pass protection – that the linebacker nearly fell over.
For concerns about Orlando Brown Jr.’s NFL Scouting Combine performance, he definitely passes the eyeball test. He’s massive with thick legs. Like any player, he’ll benefit from time in the weight room and improvements in his diet, but he’s not sloppy.
The Ravens’ other big offensive tackle, Greg Senat, is also physically impressive. A converted basketball player, he can add some bulk, but he can definitely move.
The undrafted rookie who stood out the most was Alabama-Birmingham cornerback Darious Williams, who came up with an interception and nearly had a second. He’s scrappy in coverage......http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Notebook-First-Impressions-From-Ravens-Rookie-Minicamp/393fb83c-35f0-4a8c-b97c-77c03aa24518

As I said on Lasley on another thread, I think he could be a good one. A lot of his drops weren't so much bad hands as they were concentration drops which are easily more correctable than bad hands. It will be interesting to watch his development. Maybe we have finally found a late round steal at WR that will actually develop into a #1 WR.
