I like Harbs but the statistics say he produces average results.  His win totals for the last 6 seasons are 8, 10,  5, 8,  9, and 7.  If they don't win out that's only one season with double digit victories in 7 years. We can do better.

His loyalty to poorly performing coaches have hurt this team (Dean Pees, Juan Castillo).  Dean Pees especially should have been let go 2 years before he was forced to leave.  I also don't think he's absolved of blame when it comes to the performance of his players - he clearly has a say in the personnel being drafted and how much of it falls on him for failing to develop the players?  If they miss the playoffs this year I don't see how you bring him back.  With the talent on this team and the way the D is performing this should be a 11 - 12 win team.   Part of the problem is leaving after this season (Flacco) so the question is who do you trust to handle Lamar Jackson's development?  I gotta think there are better options out there than Harbaugh.

I think that he's learned from his mistakes and continued to develop as a HC.

He weathered the losses of Ed Reed and Lewis. Then the 3 years of injuries to key players. Then the poor drafts and free agent acquisitions. All HC's and many teams face situations like this. Many fall apart.

Now he's embraced the change to a Lamar Jackson style offense and a winning team formula for the personnel that he has.

And he has not lost this team. They are playing their hearts out and believe in themselves. Everybody is tight and on the same page from coaches to players.

it's a new era and the Ravens are ahead of the curve.

Look at what's quietly happen with the Seahawks. Pounding the rock and solid Defense is not dead. They ran for 241 yards last night. Wilson had 61 of them.

There are few good defenses in the NFL right now and that is part of the reason for all these high scoring offenses to be running wild this season. look what the Bears did to the Rams. Ravens to Chiefs.

Harbaugh and DeCosta are on to something.

Cook it in the off season, develop it in camp and reveal it opening day.

“My philosophy is winning comes first,” Roman said. “I’m not chasing stats. Job justification stats, water cooler talk – I’m not really into that. I’m into whatever helps the team to win. Along with that, though, a physical style. Meaning we’re in control. It starts up front, but it extends everywhere. It’s a mindset. [I’m] very big on approaching the game from that perspective.”

Max what you said sure sounds good. I hope it's working out that way. I think this team still needs a couple playmakers on offense and defense. That's going to be on DaCosta's plate.

Roman knows, in order to stay ahead of the curve, he’ll have to reinvent his attack – at least to some degree. It’s always a cat and mouse game in the NFL. One team debuts something new and innovative (Jackson’s speed), opponents adjust, and then teams adjust to the adjustments.

I don't see how he has learned from his mistakes at all.

Rex Ryan thinks the Ravens would be fools to let Harbaugh go. Its about halfway through the clip.

What mistakes has DeCosta made?  This is all on Ozzie still?

I am talking about Harbs learning from mistakes.  I do question DeCosta about being the right hand man to Ozzie and his mistakes.  I do think that should be addressed by him.

I dunno guys. This year's rookie crop looks pretty good to me. A welcome departure from the last several drafts. Maybe DeCosta is on to something.

Nice, the consensus is the recent crop of rookies looks pretty good and that Harbs has evolved as a coach.

What a wise group we have here!

But he was right hand for what the 5 previous drafts?  I have noit heard that Ozzie was not the one who was picking already.  I just think Eric needs to speak on this.  He could say I was point on this last draft and the question is gone.

They won't come out with that and we'll never know.  Pure speculation.

I think Andrews has been quite good.  Zues Jr has been pretty solid.  Bozeman was not horrible in a pinch.  Kenny Young could be the LB they need long term.  Those are all in just this yr.  They all need to be given 3 yrs to stand or fall.  So fas so good

Well it seems that Joe is albeit reluctantly passing the torch to Lamar. As would not be surprising if the kid started the rest of the year.

Short of injury Jackson needs to start the rest of the way.  Joe has been reluctant form day one of the draft.  He kept Lamar at arms length.
