Water on the Harbaugh rumor fire

"I have every expectation, every plan to be here as long as the Ravens want me here, and I believe that they want me here," Harbaugh said after the Chargers defeated the Ravens 23-17.

"And I think that's been made clear by them to me over the last few weeks, and like I said a couple weeks ago or last week, I love everybody in the organization. There's just great people and expect to go forward with that as long as that's what they want to do. And I do believe that's what they want to do, and let's roll."....http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25696904/baltimore-ravens-want-john-harbaugh-back-sides-continue-contract-talks

Im satisfied with him coming back - hes earned it after this year. That said I think the most valuable coach on this team is Martindale. He is consistent and makes adjustments.

When he was 4-5 he earned coming back?

BTW he said weeks ago he didn't want an extension. How many of his assistants are willing to bet on his ability to continue to grow this. I would expect as many as possible to look for job security.

where the team was after 9 games isnt relevant when they ended 10-6.

Stop it.

At 4-5 this team could have quit.

Instead they went all out and banded together.

The fact that there are players saying they don't want to leave, love it here and hope they are back next year speaks volumes to how much the players believe in John....and Lamar.

Players don't want to play for shitty coaches.

Yeah as Lamar Jackson saved his season. Great year as really Jackson rescued the Ravens and saved the coach's job.

Maybe. While I tend to mostly agree, Gus Edwards really came on and the defense started playing better. I'm not convinced there's wouldn't have been some improvement if Joe had stayed healthy.

As Ravens turn to 2019 season, Greg Roman's role on offense can't be overlooked

As coach John Harbaugh works toward a long-term contract extension with the Ravens, his offense has entered a watershed offseason. Flacco is out; Jackson is in. Jackson’s development will shape the contours of the Ravens offense, but so will the guy overseeing it. Harbaugh made the unpopular decision to retain offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg after last season. Now he faces a risky proposition: Keep Mornhinweg and risk losing Roman? Or promote Roman and fire Mornhinweg?

What to do. Keep talent around or keep a bestie around?

You're posting out of your ass again.

Forced or unforced, he had a successful season (won AFCN). He and/or his coaching staff didn't make pre and/or during game adjustments and lost to the Chargers.

Otherwise, he had a successful season. He needs to replace the OC and rebuild/fortify the offense for Lamar or our next QB. If he doesn't, expect the same exact results (in 2019) as last Sunday's game.

If nothing changes I expect a much worse season than this. The fact they won 10 games with this team is pretty amazing and a credit to the coaching staff and certain players. The team has big deficiencies in a number of key positions.

The Chargers are probably better than the Ravens. The Ravens needed to play great and didn't. How much more interesting is the game if Tucker makes that kick? Was that Harbs or the OC?

Either way Paps is a fucking idiot. Predict bad things all the time in sports and youre more likely to be correct more often than not. Then repeatedly point out you're not a fan like it's a badge of honor. Then post I told you so's all the time. He's a fucking cunt.

Pulse of the team, lol
