1st Round Pick

The draft is always a crap shoot. I don't believe any of the mock drafts. Teams spread so much fog leading up to it you need a bs detector.

I would like to see Ravens get Anthony Brown but there's a ton of good WRs around. I would be happy if they drafted an offfensive lineman. While I know we need a replacement for both Zadarius Smith and Suggs, I think we've got an outstanding secondary and a few good potential young linebackers on the team.

Preferably they go O-line, WR, or Edge Rusher. Those are my top 3 priorities,

But what the hell do I know??

Unbelievable! :gorave:

Eric just got a true play maker plus 2 players by trading back a couple spots. He read the board perfectly.

This guy will work perfectly with Lamar and Lamar's style.

Get him the ball......GONE! :yeah:

He runs the whole route tree. Great hands. Outstanding speed.

“He’s the only wide receiver in this class that I feel great about in the first round,” McShay said. “I don’t know if I’ve ever evaluated a wide receiver with the better combination of quickness and speed than Hollywood Brown. This guy is unbelievable. After the catch, good luck. He does this over and over again and this is today’s NFL game. I don’t see receivers like this in the NFL draft very often.”........https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/ravens-take-wr-marquise-hollywood-brown-with-first-round-pick

Size is a concern.......

Concerns over size: The most popular knock on Brown is his thin frame. He’s 50foot-10 and doesn’t see himself getting any bigger than 175 pounds. That could be a problem on contested catches against sizable cornerbacks. It also goes against the thought that the Ravens would bring in bigger receivers who have a large catch radius for Jackson. Durability is a concern. Brown isn’t expected to be cleared from a Lisfranc surgery until training camp in July. He suffered the foot injury on Dec. 1 in the Big 12 championship game before he played through it in the Orange Bowl.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cop:

Antonio Brown: 5'10" 178 lbs.

DeSean Jackson: 5'10" 175 lbs

Brown has terrifying speed and can score a touchdown every time he touches the ball. He has the ability to take the top off defenses and turn short passes into long gains. Brown will force defenses not to stack the box against the run-heavy Baltimore offense..........http://www.espn.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/49460/baltimore-ravens-2019-draft-analysis-for-every-pick

25 Ravens

Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma

I love this kid. I think he's an explosive player. Yes, he's small at 170 pounds, but this guy can fly. If you're gonna make Lamar Jackson a better quarterback, you need good players around him to make him better and this kid will help. Grade: A..........https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2019-nfl-draft-grades-and-analysis-for-every-first-round-pick/

PRO BOWLERS

These prospects are regarded as difference makers based solely on their talent. They should make immediate contributions as rookies and rank among the top 10 at their position within two to three years. They are ordered according to how they grade out in my book.

2) Ed Oliver, DT, Houston

3) Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida

4) Noah Fant, TE, Iowa

5) Devin Bush, LB, Michigan

6) Garrett Bradbury, C, N.C. State

7) Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma

8) Montez Sweat, Edge, Mississippi State

Baltimore Ravens

Draft pick: Oklahoma WR Marquise Brown (No. 25 overall)

Day 1 grade: A

Draft analysis: Multiple NFL general managers told me they would have a hard time picking Brown, a 166-pound receiver, in the first round. Sure, he lacks size, but his talent reminds me of DeSean Jackson, who was also under 170 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine when he came out. If Brown has that sort of career, the Ravens will have done well. Plus, they gained two Day 3 picks (Nos. 127 and 197) by trading down three spots in a deal with the Eagles and still selecting the guy they likely wanted at No. 22.........http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001028217/article/2019-nfl-draft-day-1-quicksnap-grades-for-all-32-teams?icampaign=trendingNews

25. Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, WR, Baltimore Ravens

I love this pick. The Ravens haven't had a great track record at the wide receiver position, but have no fear. This guy was the best player available and a great fit. Has wow speed and his yards after the catch are amazing.....http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001028011/article/2019-nfl-draft-daniel-jeremiahs-pickbypick-analysis-for-round-1
