The Ravens selected Marquise Brown in the opening round of the 2019 NFL Draft, but I get the sense that they were hoping Clelin Ferrell would fall to them. They need to find replacements for Terrell Suggs and Za'Darius Smith.

A.J. Epenesa was a five-star recruit who showed some major promise as a freshman, registering 4.5 sacks. He was excellent in 2018.

The Pick: EDGE K'Lavon Chaisson, LSU

An injury ended K'Lavon Chaisson's chance of becoming a household name in the 2018 college football season, but scouts are already excited about his potential as an outside linebacker prospect crashing off the edge of the LSU defense.

Chaisson needs to prove he's healthy, but his burst and ability to make big plays bending around the edge could make him a first-rounder in 2020. That's perfect for the Baltimore Ravens, who could use more athleticism on the edge even after drafting Jaylon Ferguson.

Sure, Lewis will need to prove he's healthy to earn a first-round grade after missing huge chunks of time with torn ligaments in his knee and elbow, but if he has a big 2019 I can see the Ravens targeting him to fill a void at edge rusher after this year's departures.

16. Baltimore Ravens: Isaiah Simmons, LB, Clemson

After leading the national champions in tackles and adding seven pass breakups and three forced fumbles, Simmons will have a lot on his shoulders as Clemson replaces its defensive line with highly-touted underclassmen in feature roles. NFL teams will probably look favorably upon his successful transition from oversized safety to rangy linebacker prior to the 2018 season.

17. Ravens - Clemson LB Isaiah Simmons

A new-age linebacker/safety hybrid, Simmons is an extremely intriguing prospect. If you follow my work as a college football writer/handicapper, you may recall that Simmons was the guy on the Clemson defense that I said was the biggest key heading into the title game against Alabama. I was all over him in the prop market heading into that game, as was my friend Adam Burke of Bang the Book Radio.

The reason was simple: Simmons’ diverse skillset and supreme athleticism made him the chess piece that Clemson would need to defend Alabama’s high-octane spread attack, which drowns defenses that don't have a few defenders who are skilled in space. Simmons is very, very skilled in space.

Simmons shined in the upset win over the Crimson Tide with nine tackles, one of which was a TFL. He contributed more than that, though, helping to slow down Alabama’s aerial attack in coverage. Dabo is going to use him as a trump card this fall, putting Simmons in as many high-leverage situations on the field as he can handle. Expect him to excel.

The defense has carried this team. Can Jackson stay healthy, take care of the football, and pass better?

Unless they have given up on Stanley I don't see this.

They're happy with Stanley. They already picked up his 5th year option. Brown is solid. I don't get this prediction. But then it's kind of ridiculous even making 2020 mock drafts at this point.
