I missed all the Purple Friday stuff because I was working. I am so ready for the season to start.

Game meal food shopping?; Check!

Chills!?

Check!

On one particular Sunday morning, a teenage Jackson got a chance to go to a Miami Dolphins game and asked his mother, Felicia Jones, if he could go. The answer was no. He had committed to training on Sundays, and it was too late to break that obligation.

Jackson was livid when he arrived at the practice field. Warren knew he had to say something to his frustrated football prodigy.

"Listen, I don't know how, I don't when and I don't know where, but at some point in time, all of this that you're doing is going to pay off," Warren told Jackson.
Now, five years later, Jackson finally gets his chance to go to a Dolphins game -- as the starting quarterback for the opposition. On Sunday, Jackson will lead the Baltimore Ravens into Miami's Hard Rock Stadium, playing his first game in South Florida that matters since high school..........https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27535719/mr-video-game-ravens-lamar-jackson-makes-special-homecoming

Agree with John on this....

I think they’re going to be interesting. Dangerous. And in the end, pretty darn good.

More specifically, I think they’re going to have a winning season and find themselves knee-deep in the hunt for a playoff berth.

I think I’m safe in suggesting many local fans feel similarly. They’re excited about the team and its prospects. True, optimism always reigns as a season begins, but I detect the meter rising a couple of notches more than usual.

Why? I think I know. The organization has completely turned a page offensively, surrounding a young, fast, unpredictable quarterback with a new crew of playmakers. There’ll be hiccups, for sure, but the “same, old Ravens” tag is history... ...........https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/eisenberg-my-ravens-2019-prediction-without-numbers

"Same Old same old....the offense that used to burn my eyes and hurt my brain....Gone! :gorave:

I am so amped for this season to start. It will be an extremely interesting season this year if all the reports about Jackson's passing improvements come through. I'm not looking for the second coming of John Unitas, just an effective quarterback working the offense to be exciting at least some of the time. Meanwhile I hope the D holds up.

As for the Terps, all I can manage is 'Wow'!

As a fan I always look at opening day and the season ahead with hope.

I can't help having the Purple Blinders on.

Being objective is very difficult for me... :yeah: ....perhaps because it's not that much fun....and there's always hope.

For example, the last few years I'd think this is the year that Joe wakes up and plays like he did in that playoff run. :fishin:

When all's said and done, "They're Our Ravens."

I believe in them. :gorave:
