You don't start Curtis Painter for 8 games unless you're trying to secure the #1 pick. Now they're going to win themselves out of the #1 overall pick? Even if St Louis or Minnesota don't want to draft luck, i'm sure they'd be more than willing to trade the pick away to a team that does.

The Colts are a team used to making the playoffs. IMHO this late season run is all about their self esteem.

The FO wants the #1 pick. The players are out for themselves now. They have to look good to keep their jobs. They have to put out the worst 45 the next 2 games.
