The Orioles took care of an important and expected piece of business on Thursday, signing veteran catcher Gregg Zaun to a one-year, $1.5 million deal, according to the Baltimore Sun. Multiple outlets, including MLB.com, reported earlier in the week that the deal was imminent, and the Sun on Thursday reported that the contract -- which includes a $2 million pickup option for 2010, vs. a $500,000 team buyout -- is done, pending a physical that will most likely take place on Tuesday.
