Belle got paid $39 million over three years to sit on his butt to do absolutely nothing. Angelos has been a stickler for physicals ever since. I have heard of patients losing their manhood leaving an Angelos-administered physical. It's the third largest. Belle and Tejada got bigger deals. Belle's contract was insured and the insurance, not the O's, paid most of his contract. But it still scared Pete shitless. Meanwhile, it's kind of sad that a 10-11m/year deal is the second richest in club history... Regardless, glad to have Nick here and off the trade table for a long time. Either way (like DC half-mentioned), it's both an impressive and sad deal. Nick Markakis is now the second/third highest player in the history of our franchise...
