I still can't believe the Ravens let Saturday wonder into Indy. With all the OL need over the yrs he would have solidified the center spot for a decade.

Oh, come on. He was here for a few weeks and didn't make an impact in Indy for two more years. He's a smart guy, but that entire offense was created courtesy of Peyton. He has nothing to do with this team.

So you are saying that keeping him here on the practice squad to develop would have been a bad idea? I would say he has somthing to do with their success. He has kept the middle strong against the pass rush.

We already had Flynn and Mitchell as rookies on the team that year, not to mention Wally Williams, who played center as much as he did guard. There was no need for Saturday. Especially considering he lacked so many physical attributes that an offensive lineman should have; the only reasons Saturday became a very good player were years of polishing skills, and playing in front of possibly the best QB in history.

He was released in June of 1998. Flynn was picked up again after being released in 1997 in 1998. They should have gone with Saturday over Flynn.

Know who else we should have held on to?

Priest Holmes
James Harrison
Derrick Alexander

Wait a minute... why didn't we take Tom Brady before Bill Belichick did! He was like a 6th round pick for crying out loud!

Oh right... hindsight is 20/20. Everybody coulda woulda shoulda had they known what they know now. Why are you whining about this? Shoulda kept Jeff Saturday 14 years ago... you find me anyone that even gave that move a second look. Find me one article, one byline, one roster note that says anything other than "cut" or "added"...

Why would we need to keep Priest? The Ravens did not run an offense to cater to his abilities.

Harrison is one they should have kept around.

Alexander only had one more really good season after he left bmore.
