That is exactly why Ray would leave. For the money. I would think, if we were to match any top contracts, than I would think Ray would stay. But if another team comes in and gives 2 or 3 million more over the ravens, than bye bye ray. Not sure why people think Ray isn't about the money. He already has 2 DMVP and a superbowl ring, now its about one more big pay day.

How does this affect our cap? Most teams have incentives based on performance. My question is if a team is close to the cap prior the start of the season, does this include these incentives, or do the incentives add to the salary cap after they hit the escalation?

He has some sort of condition around his neck where he is playing with a good amount of pain. He could do surgery, but surgery could end his career. So for the rest of his career, he will have this nagging pain in his neck, until he gets surgery. At least that is my understanding.

If NE loses we basically clinch. The only reason we don't clinch is if Jets and Miami Tie next week, than they both are in, and the Ravens are left out.
