Money Posted January 7, 2014 Share Posted January 7, 2014 I'm not so sure I would give LeGarrette Blount that much credit while ignoring one of the better offensive lines in the NFL. I think getting a RB with a skill set more along the lines of Giovanni Bernard is a much greater need. Not sure how many backs they can carry on the roster while also having Juszczyk. If you have Peirce, a big back, and Rice in a rotation you can optimize Rice for the carries he gets. Also you can ride the hot hand on a given week. You know...if they can be a very good run-blocking unit, I could live with pass protection similar to what Joe got this year. If there still seems to be a concern come this March, they'll draft another tailback and let Ray walk, cap space and all. I know the Ravens have already said that they will bring Rice back, but they will look at his hip. I also agree that our number one priority this off season is to get a new O line, minus, # 60 and Yanda. K.O.'s back problems will be another health concern the F.O. will watch closely. Remember when Bettis was falling apart. He didn't start for like 2 yrs. Suddenly because of injuries they started him again for a long stretch and he was good for that period of time.
