Yea...and the Ravens won 3 playoff games and a Super Bowl with him.

He played within his limitations, was tough as nails and a good leader.

He was the perfect game manager for the 2000 Ravens. Don't turn it over, pound the ball, win field position, make 2-3 big plays a game and let the defense and special teams finish them off.

They might have a second Super Bowl if they kept him.

There are quarterbacks that you can't win a Super Bowl with like Vick, Dalton, Ryan, McNabb, Stafford, ...they wilt.....give it away.

There are also players that really increase a team's odds of winning a Super Bowl....like January Joe. :gorave:

Now...once again you can only get there as a team. It's a team sport. Get the right quarterback and supporting cast and you have the trophy.

Aaron Rodgers got his money....no SB since.

Rthsxlsxxbrrrgrrr got his money....no SB since.

Manning got his money long long ago and he had a dry spell from 2005 to the present and the Broncos won despite his terrible performance. But he has a ring like Rthsslxxbrrgrrrr for worst SB performances by a winning QB.

Brees got his money....nothing since.

They all needed complimentary players, solid units, great coaching and game planning....to be able to hoist a trophy.

QB's are only one part of the winning formula. A big part....but they need help to look great.

He has his faults, as more than only an elite few don't, but Flacco has been what more than 15-20 teams do not have. In fact, the Ravens have not had as an effective quarterback as Flacco in their history, given his record. His statistics are not as important as wins, much like players in the 2000 Defense, leave personal acclamation aside for the sake of a team win.

Some factors playing into Joe's numbers that dont show up on a stat sheet

1) Oz betting on Pitta to replace Boldin

2) Perriman being a bust

3) Carousel at Oc

4) Our horrendous secondary losing multiple 4th quarter leads

5) A draft history slanted to the Defensive side

6) Monroe being a POS

BINGO!

It is difficult to be accurate when receivers either cannot get open, can't run the routes properly, run the wrong route or flat out cannot catch... All of which this team, over their history, especially since Flacco, has jad issues with.

January Joe! :gorave:

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has never been a sought-after fantasy quarterback in his nine-year NFL career, and there will be increasing concerns with Flacco playing on a surgically repaired left knee. But this season is shaping up to be a career year for Flacco.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: 4,103 yards passing, 25 touchdowns

Over or under: It makes sense to predict that Flacco will have more passing yards and come close to his projected amount of touchdown passes. Last year, he was on pace for 4,465 yards passing and 22 touchdowns before suffering a season-ending knee injury in Week 11. It's not a stretch to think that Flacco will produce similar numbers in his second season with offensive coordinator Marc Trestman. This year's schedule favors Flacco as well. Fourteen of Baltimore's 16 games come against teams whose pass defense ranked in the bottom half of the NFL last season. In fact, Flacco and the Ravens face four of the league's five worst pass defenses (Philadelphia, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh and New York Giants) in 2016...http://www.espn.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/29008/ravens-joe-flacco-projects-to-produce-career-numbers-based-on-schedule

How much is as much? How manyof Flacco's incomple passes are due to him missing wide open receivers?

I never said incomplete passes. He does have those but the ones where the receiver makes huge adjustments to get the ball happen more with him than most average QBs. His lack of accuracy makes it so they can't get the yac yards that can make an ok play into a great play. Smith has been hurt by this more than most. He has been the yac king forever.

Where do the come up with thta? His OL is a question mark. His receivers are a question mark.
