I am a big fan of this show. My girlfriend actually made fun of me for watching it then she finally saw an episode and now she is hooked as well. The dialogue for that show is outrageous. And the songs are very well choreographed. Jane Lynch plays an excellent part, she is definitely my favorite character. And John Stamos is going to be a regular character for season 2!

On the flip side if one person can do it that means it is a possibility. Like Welker, Webb has been working his ass off all offseason. Both guys have top of the line training staffs. Of course, you are right, every injury is different. All I am pointing out is that seeing what Welker is doing should be very encouraging for fans when it comes to Webb and Washington. Welker's injury was worse and did not have surgery until months later than Webb and Washington.

His hitting stats are OK as a first baseman with .834 OPS in 49 ABs and a .734 OPS as a LF in 43 ABs. However, considering he has a .935 OPS on the season it is clear Luke is most comfortable as a DH. My point is that Wigginton is much more of a natural at 1B than Scott. Scott made three terrible plays yesterday at first base (a bad throw, a poorly fielded ground ball that should have been an out, and a poor play on an Arrieta pickoff throw) that cost this team multiple runs and made Arrieta's innings extended. Scott has never looked good at first base in my opinion. Wigginton is at least respectable, Scott looks lost. Case in point, Showalter yanked Scott in the ninth inning yesterday to put Bell at third and Wiggington at first. Stat-wise, Scott has three errors in 13 games (should have been charged with two more errors last night on a poorly fielded ground ball and the Arrieta pick-off throw) with a fielding percentage of .976. Wigging has only seven in 56 games for a fielding percentage of .986. Simply put, Scott is a liability at first. He is a good left fielder, but his best production comes as our clean up hitter and our DH.

7-1! The bats came out last night. But please Buck, never put Luke Scott at first base again. Keep this guy as the DH.

Yeah, Shefter suggested we might be able to send one of our running backs over to Denver for one of their cornerbacks. However, I see Willis McGahee as a big part of our team this season. I hear he added a lot of strength this offseason while still staying in excellent physical shape. It looks like he is embracing his role on this team as a short yardage/goal-line powerback. Good to see Willis out there working hard.

Well, we don't have Frank Walker so 80% of those penalties will be cut
-
I didn't think so either, then I see video of Wes Welker out there full speed running and cutting in Pats practice agaainst the Saints. Welker tore his ACL and MCL in January (Webb only his ACL). They let the MCL heal on its own first, so he didn't have ACL surgery until February. We will have see with Webb, but you have to like his chances to be a major contributor this season.

Haha that's hilarious. The guy was clearly so embarassed.

Good stuff from Rice and Flacco on ESPN about the new direction of the team. http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/15745/video-on-the-road-to-camp-ravens

Shefter suggests that the Broncos could be a match for us. I don't know anything about any of their guys though.

5-1 under Buck. This team is playing good baseball. I don't know what it is, but you look at Buck and you truly believe that Buck knows exactly what he is doing. He has a very focused look on him from the first inning to the ninth, there is no BS with Buck. And it looks like the players believe this as well. They have been playing hard because they know Buck will get on their ass if they dont. I'm liking what I'm seeing.

Thanks for sharing! Ladarius sounds like a cool dude. I hope he can come back 100%.

I have a friend in New Orleans who is a die-hard LSU fan. He told me "not to hold out much hope" for Hawkins. He says he has solid size and speed, but only sees his potential as a solid nickel back at best.
-
The guy just cannot get healthy again. He was recovering from his knee injury and then his achilles started to bother him. Lets see how he is in a couple of weeks, maybe he can get back to how he was in the try out. Either way, we need bodies.
-
Both guys are probably going to be held around through out the preseason to see what they got.
-
Dang that Bourjos guy for the Angels covers CRAZY ground in center. He has taken away about three potential doubles tonight.
-
Considering that McClain is a FA next season, I'm sure we will find a spot for McLaughlin should he prove that he is a candidate to be our starting fullback next season.
-
I love Brett, I hope he comes back.

Thanks for all the updates guys, SO helpful! Keep up the excellent work!!!

Yeah, I completely agree with this. Gaither is no dummy despite how immature he acts. He knows the money is at LT, not RT.
-
I mean sure this must be a little troubling for Harbaugh that Gaither did this on his own however I don't see this as a big deal. Everyone knocked Gaither's work ethic and now he shows some kind of discipline by losing weight. He could have done it to ease his nagging injury pains, he could have done it to make a statement that he doesn't want to play RT, or he could have done it for his long term health. Right now I am taking a wait and see approach with Gaither. Gaither is in a contract year, he knows he has to play well to earn millions. He wouldn't put himself in a position where he would be pushed around on the field.

Its official, Showalter to manage Orioles
thundercleetz replied to Spen's topic in Baltimore Orioles / MLB
Well in Showalter's first two gigs the team won the World Series the year after Showalter was fired. So I would have no problem with your plan -

Here is some good stuff from Tony Pente on the Orioles Hangout. You have to like Showalter's controlling attitude. -
This move definitely scares me as a Ravens fan. TO has plenty left in the tank. He is still an elite athlete in this league and is very dangerous with the ball in his hands. Covering him and Chad is going to be very difficult. I am not sure if TO is going to put up huge numbers in Cincy, but he will certainly have a large impact in the form of taking pressure off of Chad, Benson, giving Carson another legitimate deep threat, and keeping the defense honest.
