  1. Ah didn't know that! Interesting...
  2. I thought Jay Garrick was the Flash of Earth 2 and Zoom has already taken his speed? Yes I agree last two episodes of Flash have been awesome to watch. I'm really loving the alternative universe angle.
  3. Same here! Flash is one of her favorite shows right now and she's not big into superhero movies/shows usually. I think she likes the characters being young professionals, and some humor added in there, very relatable outside of the whole super power thing haha. After Flash, Legends of Tomorrow is her #2 superhero show and Arrow is #3.
  4. Hmmm after watching Arrow last night that kind of makes sense... Flash this season has been excellent.
  5. It all comes down to the progress the young arms can make. Gausman is close to breaking out. Can he be a legit 1/2? Bundy has to be on the 40 man roster. It's a make or break year for him. How about Hunter Harvey? Can he stay healthy? If so he's a stud. Can Tillman return to All Star form? Can Ubaldo pitch consistently over an entire season? Vance Worley is an interesting rebound candidate. Lots of questions but the potential is there. Positively our lineup will be incredible and has potential to be even better. Schoop, Hardy and Wieters all 100%. Schoop showed All Star potential in an injury short season. Team defense and the bullpen will be among tops in the league. We have a lot of good going for us if the starting pitching can hold its weight.
  6. I'm drooling over this lineup: RF. Fowler (B) 3B. Machado ® CF. Jones ® 1B. Davis (L) DH. Trumbo ® C. Wieters (B) 2B. Schoop ® LF. Kim (L) SS. Hardy ®
  7. Lol! Or this! http://brobible.com/sports/article/brock-lesnar-new-tattoo-tramp-stamp/
  8. Now reports are saying the O's would be willing to part with their comp pick they received for Chen to sign Dexter Fowler. True lead off guy with good on-base skills, runs well and has some power. However, he has exclusive played centerfield. His defensive metrics suggests he's miserable, however, scouting reports say he is capable. Maybe he moves to RF?
  9. Sounds like the O's are close on a three-year deal with Gallardo. I don't like giving up the pick, but I like his fit as a ground ball pitcher with our infield defense.
  10. Absolutely games are won in the trenches. However, the marginal benefit of an elite receiver over an above average receiver is much greater on a team's success than an elite tackle over an above average tackle. We won a SB with McKinney at LT because Oher was a bust at RT. That year we had the best WR corps we've ever had in Baltimore and Flacco played the best football of his career down the stretch. I haven't done my homework on Stanley yet. I don't know if he's a better player than Treadwell. I know Treadwell is a stud and is going to be a #1 receiver. Stanley is going to have to be significantly better than that to justify the kick that high. Stanley is listed at "only" 6'5" 315 pounds, which means he could be smaller than that. I'm interested to see what his hands and arm length are as well. Tackles that go top ten are usually bigger or taller guys than that.
  11. I meant from a pure talent perspective. No off the field drama. I would much rather have an elite WR than an elite LT given our current team.
  12. Ok say we take risk out of the equation and both Treadwell and Stanley are graded on their best case scenario. Who would you take at #6: Dez Bryant or Joe Staley?
  13. And then we drafted Michael Oher and thought we'd have nothing to worry about but he gave us plenty of worries. No matter what the position is, there is a risk.
  14. FM games will blackout if you try and stream audio online. Sirius XM has all the games but they have a terrible lag to real time. MLB At Bat is the best bet to listen if you're away from your car or don't have a portable player with FM capabilities. MLB At Bat has slight lag to TV, but unless you're on Twitter refreshing every second you won't have anything spoiled for you.
  15. True, if Treadwell and Ramsey are gone that is a bad scenario for us. Staley might be the guy. However, I would rather target Noah Spence and find a way to draft him. Beast of a pass rusher. He's projected as a late first/early second rounder as of now. However, he's going to sky rocket at the combine.
  16. Not having to worry about LT for ten years hasn't helped the Browns much. We need playmakers who can get points on the board! Ravens haven't had a legit difference maker on offense in 20 years. If you have a chance to get Ramsey or Treadwell you get him! Btw there is no guarantee Staley will be the next JO. Remember, Eugene Monroe was the eighth pick overall and Jake Long was the first pick. Everyone likes to paint a rosy picture of LTs being super safe. While they might not be flat out busts, you might end up with a mediocre player at a position you could have addressed later in the draft. The Rams have wasted two first round picks on "safe" LTs in the past ten years. Alex Barron was the nineteenth pick in 2005 and Jason Smith was the second pick in 2009. Both are out of the league.
  17. Everyone is picking Carolina. I say Denver will have Cam's number on Sunday. As bad as Manning has been, Denver's offense left a few TDs on the field last week. Timing was a little off between Manning and Sanders. Even if Manning can't throw the deep ball, he's still a threat in the redzone. Last week's FGs will be this week's TD's. Sanders has a big game as Norman covers DT. Denver 28 Carolina 24
  18. I agree with your sentiment. It would be great to get the next JO, but let's say even if we get the next Trent Williams, the team can only become so much incrementally better from a Pro Bowl LT. Look at the Browns with Joe Thomas. When they have Josh Gordon they are actually a threat to win games. IMO the marginal benefit of a Pro Bowl LT over an above average LT is not nearly as large as the marginal benefit to a team of an elite WR over an above average WR. Cut Monroe, keep KO and draft Treadwell.
  19. Good point. Forgot about that Mike Leach Air Raid offense. I do remember his hands being suspect as well. I would be happy with either Ramsey or Treadwell. Need a playmaker. A LT would be a safe pick, but I think we could get by with an above average LT. Hopefully teams at the top will get QB hungry pushing down the best players.
  20. The Braves have to pay for Nick Markakis! You know that!
  21. Ts, I wonder what Treadwell checks in height wise. I remember Michael Crabtree was a consensus top ten pick. He was listed at 6'3" in college and only checked in at 6'1". Treadwell looks every bit 6'2" but you never know. Will it matter? How does Treadwell compare to Crabtree coming out?
  22. I am much more excited for the Leslie Frazier hire as our DB coach. Heck, I wish Frazier was our DC.
  23. Astros play outside. Moved into Minute Maid Park in 2000. The Houston Texans play in a retractable roof stadium, opened in 2002. As I said, the first of the modern football stadiums you see today.
  24. Efficient use of that technology wasn't around then. The stadium in Houston was the first instance of modern retractable roof stadiums. That stadium was built four years or so after M&T. Granted Houston paid a lot more money for their stadium than we did as well.
  25. I am worried about the grass field too. In addition to how crappy the Redskins and Steelers fields look, with concussions awareness I think all fields will have to be turf. I've read that there is padding being developed which goes underneath the turf that can help prevent concussions. Grass fields get extremely hard in the cold...
