  1. True... I do like that stadium in Arizona a lot though! That and the stadium in Seattle to me seem like the best.
  2. With Sheets's injury history? That is what is scaring teams off. When he pitches, he is an ace. He just cannot stay healthy.
  3. Because apparently they are bestest buds! :P
  4. Football is just not meant to be played in domes. M&T Bank is how a football stadium is supposed to be.
  5. Hey, I liked that movie! I actually live a few street down from Napolean Street, which is where the house in the movie is.
  6. Didn't know that. Are you currently going to school?
  7. Wait, do you still go to Syracuse?
  8. In my opinion, we need someone who can go up and grab balls, then come down with them. Nicks has extremely strong hands, and catches everything thrown to him. I just do not see that aggression with DHB. As good as Mason is, he is sometimes too small to fight for those balls across the middle. Flacco does not have a very big window to throw to with Mason/Clayton. Nicks would give Flacco a bigger target and a larger window to throw to.
  9. Do you go to the games?
  10. That is how I see it as well, minus the addition of a big, ugly dome in downtown Baltimore which probably would be demolished by now.
  11. Intersting... DHB is certainly a trendy pick: size, speed, hometown kid, but I am very worried that he may turn out to be another Ashlie Lelie. He is very risky. Luckily there is another three months until the draft for us to get a better idea.
  12. That was going to be my next question, do we really know this? Like dc said, Brian probably realizes that he is one of very few good lead-off hitters in the league and one of very few good 2b in the league. Roberts is less than a year away from free agency, for all we know he has no intentions of signing an extension unless the offer blows him out of the water. Being that Orlando Hudson has not signed yet, why would Brian sign at the dead bottom of the market? Brian's best interest is to wait this thing out another season.
  13. I am not sure if I would extend Roberts. If we are uncompetitive again this season, does extending Roberts do us any good? We might as well see what happens this season. If we are bad, we trade him at the deadline or take the draft picks. If we are good, Roberts will have a reason to want to come back at the end of the season, we can sign him then.
  14. I do believe that Clayton is going to be a lot better next season. He was starting to progress at the end of the season and was really getting on the same page as Flacco. While we do need a deep threat, neither guys like Fitzgerald or Boldin are burners, but they are able to get deep. I think Nicks could be one of these guys. Who would you guys rather have, Harvin or Nicks?
  15. If Leonhard leaves, you think Cmac would renegotiate his contract to play here as a safety?
  16. Nicks is more of a Anquan Boldin/Jerricho Cotchery than a Mark Clayton/Derrick Mason. Nicks' smarts allow him to get downfield, and his size/athleticism allow him to fight for balls in the air. We do need speed, but we also need guys who understand how to get open and can bail Flacco out. Nicks has both qualities. Lets see how he runs his 40. He is certainly much less of a risk than DHB or Harvin.
  17. Hmmm... I like the idea of McAlister at safety, especially if Leonhard leaves. McAlister can tackle, and has good ball skills, he would be a good SS. He would also figure well into dime packages where we need able bodies. My problem is that his cap number is just too big when we need to re-sign two cornerstone players in Suggs and Brown, and then one of our middle backers.
  18. I like Nicks a lot as well. He is definitely one of the most polished receivers in the draft, and should be able to contribute right away. Both Mel Kiper and Butch Davis compared Nicks to Michael Irvin. Nicks position in the draft will be heavily dependent upon his 40 time, in my opinion. If he runs anything less than a 4.5, he should be a late first rounder. Anything in the mid 4.5s and up, and he could fall.
  19. LOL, I was an infant As for 1994, I was six years-old. All I remember is asking my mom why the Colts left, and she would always tell me because they were really bad and no one went to the games (granted she didn't really like football, and grew up when the Colts were bad in the late-70s, early-80s).
  20. I know what you mean, the pain will probably not start to subside until after the Super Bowl. A Cardinals win would make that pain a long forgotten memory for me. I would truly be able to appreciate what we accomplished this season if the Cardinals won. I cannot stand knowing we lost to the Steelers three times this season, and they went through us to win the Super Bowl. Who is the 6'5" kid out of Carolina? What about this guy? Sean Smith our of Utah is another big corner: http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dspro...9&genpos=CB
  21. Maybe some of the older guys here could give us a little insight on what were the thoughts of this at the time. I had no idea. Anyone have one of these shirts? Thank goodness this didn't happen, playing football in a dome is horrendous. We would probably be looking for a new stadium right now. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/footbal...0,4722230.story
  22. I will give you your props. So who are we selecting this year that will lead us to the promise land oh all-telling cravn?
  23. I am a little worried about his size, but if he can jam, tackle, and play a tight man coverage, I certainly would welcome an Antoine Winfield-type corner on this team.
  24. Unless we franchise Suggs again, which seems very likely, in my opinion.
  25. I do not know much about him, but from this little exert it sounds like he would not be a good fit for us. We need guys who are good at pressing and playing man coverage.
