  1. There it is, the Cardinals are in the Super Bowl. Is the world coming to an end? I guess that is the NFL for you. The media is going to be pretty angry with a Ravens-Cards Super Bowl.
  2. 61 and sunny down here in New Orleans
  3. Wow, very nice play call there on the touchdown. I love the enthusiasm the Cards offense is playing with. Fitz is screaming after every play trying to get the crowd fired up. Two points! Alright Donovan, lets see what you got!
  4. This is a very good game. The Cards need to score a TD though, they cannot risk giving Donovan over 2 minutes to work with only needing a field goal. I am not sure why the Cards are trying to run down the clock.
  5. Hope you're having fun, dee. Where are you watching the game?
  6. Good analysis, I definitely agree. I love what Pie does for our team defensively. An outfield of Pie, Jones, and Markakis is most likely the best in the league. With Izturis at SS and Roberts at 2B, our defense up the middle should be excellent. Especially once Wieters comes up. I was killed by the Teixeira saga as well, but felt a little better after hearing he grew up a Yanks fan and wanted to be a Yank all along. No money was going to bring him here, the Yanks gave him a great offer, and at that point it became about the winning. I have a hard time believing that the Nats did not beat the Yanks offer, they went after him very aggressively. You are right, the big signing does not have to happen now.
  7. You mean for Sean Marshall, Sean Gallagher and Ronny Cedeno? No thanks! I'd rather take the draft picks.
  8. If I had to guess, I think we are only going to see in pass rushing situations. Boulware said that harness is severely limiting, and it can take weeks to adjust to it.
  9. Hey dc, what do you think McPhail needs to do next? Should we deal Roberts? He is most likely as good as gone after this season. I do not think we will see much more movement this offseason, but expect guys like Huff, Roberts, and Sherrill to be shopped heavily at the deadline. Of course, us being out of the playoff race is a given.
  10. Sign me up too!!! What an defensive outfield. Here's to Pie and Jones reaching their offensive potential! http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3842286
  11. I hate to say poor guy anytime someone receives $64 million, but poor Nick for having to lose for the next six years.
  12. So it is the morning of the biggest game of our season, possibly in franchise history. The anticipation has been building up all year for this championship match-up featuring two arch-rivals that absolutely hate each other. How does everyone see this one going down? My prediction: 20-17 Ravens For the first time ever, I see the Ravens playing as a team out on the field. Not just a great defense and a disconnected offense, but a team. The defense leans on the offense, and vice-versa. With that said, it is all about "next man up" and we will fight through the injuries. It will not be pretty, but the Ravens will win the turnover battle and control the time of possession to roll onward to the Super Bowl!
  13. If I'm looking like this after the game we will probably be playing for a Super Bowl: If I look like this, I'd say we lost:
  14. EDIT: Dang, beat to the crying pic!
  15. Happy birthday! Here's to a Steelers loss tomorrow!
  16. I love listening to John Harbaugh talk. He is so intense every single time, he is very motivating.
  17. Yes, all I mentioned was Jeff's size and arm strength, but you were the one that reasoned if Chad and his arm strength could run Chad's offense, so could Jeff, completely disregarding anything. That is why I brought that up. It is a little harder with the older players to get accurate heights. As the combine was gotten more popular, with the expansion of sports on the internet, heights and weights have gotten more accurate and easier to verify. Nevertheless, heights are usually never exaggerated any more than 1 1/2" inches (probably the maximum size of cleats). So if you want to see the amount of 5'11" QBs in this league, look at guys who are listed at 6-6'1", and you will probably have a case of some sort. However, how many of the successful QBs in this league are even listed under 6'2"? Drew Brees (who I have heard many times is a legitimate 6")? A guy who is listed at 6'2" isn't under 6", that is just too big of a difference. A guy at 6", 6'1"... possibly under 6". The point is, Jeff Garcia is a short QB. Anyways, my belief is that Jeff Garcia is not a good fit for anything other than a WCO (OK, maybe a Wing-T  ), and if the Bucs should choose to go in a different direction with their offense (possibly more vertical), I don't think Jeff Garcia will be successful.
  18. I would say both of those are subjective. At least Chad doesn't have to hop up two steps and throw his body to chuck a 20-yard pass. As for Jeff's height, I have heard many NFL analysts say how he is closer to under 6-feet and over 6-feet. Heck, his wife, Carmella DeCesare, is 5'8" and he doesn't exactly tower over her. If you really think he is a legitimate 6'1", then go ahead. I think he is closer to 5'11.5". As for Jeff being able to do what Chad does, I think you are underestimating Chad Pennington's intelligence as a factor in his effectiveness.
  19. Book those playoff tickets!
  20. To be fair, what offense is there for a 5'11" QB with a BB gun arm outside of the WCO? His limitations are well-documented.
  21. That really shocked me as well. I remember hearing interviews with him before this season and it is horrible how quickly the disease is moving. That is such a cruel disease, it is like the devil is playing a brutal joke by crippling everything except your mind. Sometimes I think how God could let such a malicious disease exist, then I see OJ and how he has dealt with his situation, and how much of an inspiration he has been to thousands of people. I come to the conclusion that OJ is truly carrying out the grace of God the best way any human possibly can. There is no way I could ever deal with such a disease like OJ does.
  22. I am not saying Jeff was the problem. Jeff was a perfect fit for Gruden's offense. You mentioned maybe they are going to try a new offensive system, to which I agree with you. Garcia has not been very good outside of Gruden's offense and a WC offense. I could see Garcia maybe sticking around for a year, but Tampa Bay needs to be looking for their long-term QB.
  23. Joe has already played in Pittsburgh before a primetime audience. Players do not magically get faster, especially after 16 weeks of their bodies taking a beating. Joe will be fine.
  24. Goodbye Jeff Garcia?
