  1. Ubaldo was marvelous today. His two-seamer/split finger combo was unhittable today. Ubaldo was able to keep his pitch count low, which is a rarity for him. Hats off to Brady for working with Ubaldo this past offseason and shoring up those mechanics. And props to Ubaldo for putting in the work and being humble to criticism. Even last year when Ubaldo was struggling, all reports say he was the most positive guy in the clubhouse and just wants to win. Love seeing a guy like that do well. By the way, Paredes is on a tear again. I love the way the guy hits the ball.
  2. It's the same way for digital games off Xbox Live. For a game that's been out awhile, Microsoft charges full price for the digital copy while the physical copy can be $20 less on Amazon. Maybe Microsoft forgets to update their prices, or it's the deal they have with the developers, I dunno lol
  3. He's rejoining the team today and starting. Schoop is back in Baltimore as well, he was doing field work with Brady. He also worked with Brady during rehab. Schoop hasn't been activated yet but he hit three home runs and two doubles in six games at Bowie. He's ready to go and will give our lineup a nice boost.
  4. Let's wait till the pads come on! We've had mini camp superstars before. However, Butler is a big, physical guy so training camp should be to his benefit.
  5. Great game and story, however it has very large maps with tedious side quests that have limited impact on the game's progress. You can skip maps and advance the story, but I'm the type of person who likes to complete everything in a game, therefore this game takes up a lot of time. Most importantly, cut scenes are skipable I've beaten the previous two Dragon Ages so I really enjoy the game and story. I'm a big fan of games like Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Final Fantasy.
  6. I've never really played AC games but I play plenty of games with long cutscenes. I love them haha. I've been working on beating Dragon Age Inquisition since November.
  7. Blew a 7-0 lead, fell behind 9-7, won the game 12-9. Even after going up 7-0 I had a feeling it wouldn't be easy. Nonetheless, enormous win! We have historically played terrible in TO, so going up there and winning a series is big momentum. Hardy and Flaherty got big hits in the ninth, but the inning was made possible by Reimold and Davis. Each guy worked a walk from an 0-2 count. Tillman's play is very concerning: @BaltimoreLuke: Chris Tillman's 2015 ERA is currently 5.97. For context, Ubaldo Jimenez had a 4.63 ERA at this point last year. #Orioles Hopefully AJ gets better over the off day.
  8. Great to have AJ back in the lineup, even if he's the DH. HUGE win today. Had me sweating at the end but the bullpen continues to play excellent. Let's get the series win tomorrow! Schoop started his rehab assignment in Bowie last night. He went 0-4 but the fact he's playing again is encouraging. His power and defense will be welcomed back. Flaherty has been hitting well, but he doesn't have the arm nor can he turn the DP like Schoop can.
  9. I don't think we are. Look at Suggs picture, he looks obese. From a diet and fitness perspective a month and a half is not nearly enough time to transform his body into the shape he's come into camp in previous years. He may be able to get by on skill, but unless he's going to severely cut calories the next month and a half (which is not a healthy strategy for his body weight to constantly fluctuate), he's not going to be in the kind of shape he should be. I understand his point of not wanting to burn out. And it is perfectly fine (and healthy) to rest and ease into your heavy workouts, but it looks like Suggs threw any sort of diet out the window.
  10. Training camp should be a lot of fun!
  11. http://russellstreetreport.com/2015/06/18/tale-of-the-tape/dont-count-out-rashaan-melvin/ Good read on Melvin.
  12. Wow I would understand Suggs' point if he was a little heavy. However, he looks extremely overweight. With training camp approximately a month and a half away, that is nearly not enough time for him to lose that gut. If he is planning on crash dieting and working hard for the next month and a half when he hasn't worked much prior, that sounds unhealthy. I am a little torn. He is a vet so he does know how the process works and how crucial it is to pace oneself. However, we have seen many times in this league a player on the wrong side of 30 go from a career year to being washed up the next season.
  13. It is still very early in the season, but this Toronto series could be huge momentum wise for both teams. It would be great to win the series. If we only won once and lose the series it isn't the end of the world, but we absolutely have to avoid being swept. That would be a monumental momentum killer for the success we've had the last two weeks.
  14. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/index.jsp?content=gameday_audio This is what I use to stream the radio broadcast when I'm not in the car. I have a Bluetooth speaker also and stream the radio broadcast from the MLB At Bat app on my phone to my speakers. Only $20 a year for every MLB game, no blackouts.
  15. The team is coming together nicely. Wieters, Jones and Machado are hitting really well. Davis is coming around and Paredes has been steady. Hopefully Hardy can start to pick up. Schoop will be back soon but Flaherty hasn't been bad, so we have options. If Parmelee or Snider can give us good production our lineup will be dangerous.
  16. I've read articles stating the MLB could loosen its blackout policy for next season. Fingers crossed!
  17. Same here, I listen to the radio broadcast on the MLB At Bat app at home and 105.7 The Fan when I'm in the car. The TV package online is subject to blackout.
  18. Another two HRs for Machado... Esta en fuego! He's really becoming a franchise player for us. Parmelee is 2-2 with a HR. The guy was once a top prospect and was raking at AAA. If Parmelee has a good week it will be hard to option him back given we have not gotten much production out of our corner outfielders.
  19. That's a pretty big compliment because Bruschi is usually fairly critical of the Ravens. PFF has us at #3. I cannot wait for this season. The rebuilding effort after the Super Bowl is starting to take form!
  20. Great to see Reimold back and healthy. In addition to his HR, he made a great play in left on a very well hit ball. He could end up being a defensive upgrade. He's always been very athletic for a big guy. Buck thinks Reimold could eventually become our lead off hitter this season. He had an OBP of over .380 in Norfolk before being called up. It would take a lot of pressure off of Machado, who isn't really an on base guy and would be better served lower in the lineup as he continues to show off impressive power.
  21. Awesome to hear. I remember an interview with him after he retired and he said he was extremely bored. Glad he found a passion. That 2006 Ravens defense that Pryce starred on was one of my favorite defenses to watch of all time. The 2000 was more stout, but that 2006 defense was filled with playmakers top to bottom.
  22. Have fun!
  23. Just looked up Markakis. He's having a solid year. No HRs through 53 games, but he's getting on base at an elite clip (.397). He has a higher OBP than slugging percentage (.376). I wonder if he would performed like this for us. It seems like his game now is tailored for the NL.
  24. I have no problem with the Miller trade. Miller was our best player last post season hands down. If the O's won the WS last year, no one second guesses the trade even if E-Rod wins multiple Cy Young Awards. My frustration with the Miller trade is we always seem to trade the wrong guy. We trade E-Rod, keep Bundy and Harvey, and both guys get hurt. Another thing is E-Rod was a B-level prospect for us. Many scouts saw E-Rod as another Radhames Liz. Heck, lots of scouts didn't even project him as a starter. IMO, this highlights a problem with our organization getting the best out of our pitching talents. I'm convinced if we kept E-Rod, he would have not had the same success for us.
