Another win and nine up!!! Gosh Jimenez looked terrible in the ninth inning. Couldn't even get three outs.

What's the lowdown on Samster? I don't even remember him in the preseason. Someone thought he was good enough to be on a 53 man roster.

Rude Jude. He was a regular on the Jenny Jones Show back in the day. He co-hosts the very popular All Out Show on Sirius XM Shade 45. He was calling out celebs as a joke because on his show the previous day he criticized people for calling out only famous celebs. He's probably as famous as Jason Ellis or Joe Rogan. He recently released a book that is like the Tucker Max of hip hop culture. Kind of like Eminem he was raised in a dirt poor suburb of Detroit. Real entertaining dude to listen to.

Best one IMO

If the game is with a fixed regional rival on an annual basis, homefield can be rotated every year. I do not think the owners would have a problem with that. I really like the idea of the annual regional rivalry game. Before anything is decided, I feel the NFL needs to clear up the relocation issues around the league. We cannot expand to 17/18 games and continue to have franchises like Jacksonville, Buffalo, St. Louis, San Diego, etc. continue to black out. Move the Rams back to LA, the Jags to London, and the Bills to Toronto to maximize these revenue expansion opportunities.

Floyd and 50 Cent going at each other

Kind of a low blow IMO. -
Man this team plays with a lot of heart! Awesome series win! Lets keep it rolling!

I still think 17 games is a good compromise. Make that 17th game an annual, geographical, cross conference rivalry game that alternates home field every year. Think rivalry week in college football. Redskins-Ravens, Eagles-Steelers, two NY teams. Play the game the first or second week of the season when the hype of the season is still high for all teams.

For those who don't know, before you get worked up, this guy does this type of article for every team.

If the players are going to ask for that much they better be ready for invasive HGH testing.

Most depressing series of the year. We lose Manny for the season and our former busts Arrieta, Strop and Wada burn us. Really depressing.

I think this proves what I believe about Bisciotti
thundercleetz replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
You do that at the risk of locker-room dynamics and players more willing to not listen to the coach. Also, look at the Browns and Jim Harbaugh. If the Browns were willing to trade two first round picks for Harbaugh, imagine what they would pay him on the open market. It's the same with your philosophy of players, if you don't lock them up early they'll leave for big money on the open market. -
Smart? Yes, absolutely. Definitely talented. She is amusing as well. However, I think she is emotional and jumps to conclusions at the expense of staying factual. I don't agree with everything Cenk says, however when he speaks you can tell he is very cognizant of the facts and tries to make sure everything he says is grounded. Ana does not yet have this degree of professionalism. I think she just recently discovered her confidence and self identity within the past year or two and is still learning how to put everything together. One more thing, I don't like her delivery when it comes to use of language. She over-uses the F word and it loses it's effectiveness and makes her sound less intelligent. Believe me, I have no problem with salty language, but it's very much an art in being used effectively. Joe Rogan has it down. He's talked about use of language before and his comedy career certainly helped with this. Using one of my favorite wrestlers Mic Foley as an example, at the beginning of each of his one man shows he gives a warning: "I use one F bomb a show, and I'm not going to tell you when it's coming. But when it does you'll absolutely know the point I'm trying to make." Ana needs to realize this.

I think this proves what I believe about Bisciotti
thundercleetz replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
I guess we'll have to see how this works out but it could prove to be irrelevant as Bisciotti has already proven he's willing to eat a contract if he wants to fire someone. I could take your same example and say Bisciotti is paying for stability, and if it doesn't work out, it's his money spent and doesn't set back the franchise one bit. -
Don't forget Jerrigan! The guy's athleticism for a DT is very impressive!
-
Glad this happened in the preseason and not week 1 versus the Bengals. Thank you Redskins. Let's get this fixed for the season. The talent is there just need to get the communication right.
-
I was amazed by how fast he still is. The guy is a stone cold badass. He's one of those players on another team that I've always admired. Glad he's on our side now.

I think this proves what I believe about Bisciotti
thundercleetz replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Regardless, I think we can agree he's definitely improved to some degree since 2008. I believe it would be naive to say otherwise. Someone as intelligent and business savvy as Bisciotti, he has made his very successful career in professional staffing, putting the best guys in a superior position to succeed. Looking at our front office, scouting department, and coaching staff, it would be hard to argue there is anyone better that has assembled their organization (not including players) from top to bottom with as much talent, and resources available, as the Ravens. Now if you want to argue he doesn't have the football instinct of a Rooney or Kraft, that's valid. However, Bisciotti has been very reasonable, and even in situations, as above, where he wants to intervene, he is able to be reasoned with. As a businessman, he realizes he has invested significantly more resources in his executive staff, who are experts in their fields, than his competition. Ultimately, he knows he must trust them. -
I'm not really a big fan of her's, but the interviews released so far have been really good. Even better are the YouTube comments below. Always amusing. A lot of Ana's fans don't seem to happy she had Joe on.

Think it's safe to say Manny is staying at third base after two knee surgeries?
-
http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article/bal/knee-surgery-once-again-ends-orioles-third-baseman-manny-machados-season?ymd=20140823&content_id=91045502&vkey=news_bal Sounds like the right knee was just on borrowed time after the left one was fixed. Remember, Manny dealt with knee problems in the minors. Hopefully having the same procedure down on both knees will fix the problem for good. Also from this article, seems like the O's are disappointed he didn't try and rest more to come back. With all things considered, surgery is definitely the right move. We waited too long last year which caused Manny to miss the first month of the season. Hopefully he'll be ready for Opening Day next year.

I would say Bisciotti would be the first person to tell you he's grown leaps and bounds as an owner since 2008. -

The only positive I can think of is the Yahoo report said the doctor found an abnormality in his injuries knee that had been found in his other surgically repaired knee (sorry if that's confusing, I don't know right from left in this case haha). So hopefully with the abnormality fixed in both knees his knees are structurally sound going forward and he'll be less injury prone. That's my uneducated guess, but it's hard not to think at this point that he's going to have chronically bad knees in his career.
