  1. That is a tough loss, but CC had his A-game last night. He went 120 pitches and struck out seven. I think five of those strike outs were close looking calls on a full count. CC had complete control of both sides of the plate. Great job by Hammel and the bullpen (sans JJ). They pitched out of some really tough spots. Tomorrow is not going to be much easier with another lefty in Andy Pettitte. But lets hope Pettitte doesn't have his best stuff like CC had last night.
  2. Matusz with an outstanding inning! This game is incredible! Worth the hype!
  3. Your Reds are looking really good...
  4. Andino with a great sacrifice and McLouth has a two-RBI single! Great baseball!
  5. Pitcher's duel so far. Hammel started a little rusty but he has his A-game now. We have to get some base runners against CC. The crowd looks electric! It's all orange. It is also to hear the crowd sing the Seven Nation Army song. I loved the boo of Texiera!
  6. Ewww that was an ugly game but a win is a win and we're 4-1! Good adjustments by the defense in the second half but the offense looked like the same old Cam Cameron offense today. On to Dallas!
  7. That's an awesome website Keveeno! I wish I knew about it when I lived in the DC-area!
  8. A Reds-Nats series would be an excellent series! It's a tough matchup for both teams. Both teams are very well managed, play good defense, have excellent pitching, and can hit. I think that's the best potential matchup in all of the playoffs this year.
  9. Turgeon's backup plan for the 2013 class is 6'4" PG Roddy Peters from Suitland in PG County. Peters grew up a Terps fan and is a top 50 recruit nationally (one of the rare public school top recruits). I expect Turgeon to step up his recruiting efforts of Peters. The Harrison's twins were a big loss but they were one and done players. We still have Nick Faust who started coming into his own toward the end of last season. Faust could be primed for a big year this year. Pair Peters with Faust in the backcourt for 2013 and they are a good complement to the mature front court we will have. We will be better this coming year but I think we make a good run in 2013.
  10. Baltimore would have turned into one big shit show!!! Oh man Federal Hill is going to be nuts tomorrow all day!
  11. Wow I woke up this morning and am still in shock. That win has to be a top 5 Baltimore sports win in the past 10 years. The saying "Orioles Magic" has been thrown around all season but last night was truly magic. Sensational managing by Buck. I don't think took took a breath the whole game. He was on edge the entire time and was masterful playing the matchups. Buck had the guy believing and they brought their A games last night and stepped up on the national stage! There were many outstanding performances last night, I am going to highlight a few: Matt Wieters: Yes I know he went 0-4 but the guy called an outstanding game behind the plate. Joe Saunders: Pretty obvious but Joe stepped up big time. He avoided dangerous situations and got out of some tough situations. That Texas lineup is dangerous 1-9 and even the second and third times through Saunders was strong. Darren O'Day: IMO O'Day was our MVP last night. Against the best teams are trouble innings have been the 7th and 8th. Buck gave him the ball and said you're bridging us to JJ. O'Day doesn't usually go two innings but he toughed it out. Incredible poise getting out of the inning after the missthrow on the pickoff attempt the first. I cannot wait until Sunday!!! Ravens at 1, O's at 6, this is how life is supposed to be! #BUCKleUp Yankees because we're coming!!!
  12. I like Gary Johnson. He has Ron Paul-like, libertarian ideals (with the main exception of abortion). Gary Johnson and Ron Paul are very intelligent (there is a concise plan to run the country and no political side-stepping) and I think people generally respect that. Their ideals are close to the constitution, and in my opinion, represent how the country was intended to be run before bi-partisanship took over where there is constant conflict, beliefs are rigid, and nothing really gets done. Unfortunately, a shift to a libertarian government would be too radical for people, and politicians in the Senate and Congress, to vote for.
  13. Disappointing but awesome effort by Turgeon. The better recruits will come. Good job Turgeon!
  14. Saunders is the guy tomorrow. His numbers are terrible in Texas but he is our most experienced pitcher. He does not have to go long. Get us through four innings and the bullpen can take the rest.
  15. The Harrison Twins make their decision today at 5 PM on ESPN U. They are deciding between their final two schools, UK and UMD. These guys are game changing recruits. If the Terps get them you are looking at an ACC Championship caliber team in 2013. The twins are one-and-done players who will be top ten drafts picks in the NBA.
  16. It all comes down to Texas. Who do we start? I actually think a one game series against Texas favors us. Our bullpen got us to this point, and this is a one game take all. Start Steve Johnson, get him through four, five innings max, then hand it off to our stellar bullpen. As it turns out, the extra wild card is essentially pointless. We have the same record as Texas. Even last year the same thing would happen, we would play Texas in a one game tie-breaker.
  17. Ugh I am so mad after the Yankees game last night!!! Andrew Bailey was absolutely terrible.
  18. Bobby Valentine will say he's simply playing younger players to get an evaluation on them. No different than a football team about to enter a rebuilding mode after being eliminated from the playoff race. Just a tough break for us.
  19. I was very disappointed to see Boston's lineup. It is a shame. We lost and Oakland won last night. We really need to win these last two games. I do not want to go to Oakland for a one game playoff.
  20. If the Yanks and O's are tied at the end of the 162 game season, game 163 will be played in Baltimore on Thursday for the division title. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.
  21. Oh yeah, for the horses you're definitely right. But there is a lot of revenue to be made from table games. Where the revenue goes, now that's another story...
  22. It all, comes down to three games...
  23. No way! Tell the wife it has been 15 years since the O's have been in a pennant race. For all we know it could be another 15 years. These next four games are a must watch!
  24. I watched most of the game. The Towson defense played EXTREMELY tough and kept them in the game through three quarters. The Towson special teams blew the game. They actually took the lead 9-7 (botched EP) and were threatening to score again when their TE fumbled without being hit in the open field. I think Towson averaged twenty something yards per punt. And they pretty much shot themselves in the foot when their punt returner fumbled a fair catch. The offense had multiple turnovers too. Towson should be very proud. For an FCS team to go into the toughest place to play in the nation and play awesome defense, great job! Once again the Towson defense was spectacular getting sacks and forcing multiple punts. Even on offense the offensive line played a good game and the skill players did make some plays. You're looking at an FCS team playing a team of all once top recruits and the Towson guys were winning individual match ups, I can see why Les Miles was pissed. Great job Tigers you should be proud!
  25. We have a true penant race gentlemen.
