Not always true... yes he loves the deep jump ball. If you look at Joe's early years his targets were Mason and Heap. The last few years he had to be a deep passer since Torrey and Jacoby aren't the best at running short routes. You have to go with what personnel you have. From all accounts this will be a 2TE base system. We're not going to have a deep vertical game with Daniels/Pitta and SmithSR. I WANT this system. How many 3rd and 4's did we try a 20 pass?

Joe's going to have about as much offensive weapons as he's ever had this year.(barring any injuries). I'm still not sure about the Oline, having never seen Zuttah play and the RT spot still a question. I'm hoping with PItta back to full strength and the addition of SmithSr to work the physical under routes Joe will have more options. I'm also loving the redzone capabilities this year of having Brown, Daniels, and Pitta on the field.

If you were a HOF player would you want your son to play your position? There's been some success like the Mannings but there's got to be a lot of pressure. I think I'd rather my kid do something else or at least change position.
