Sounds like the kiss of death
-
Makes the Monroe signing all more important... who knows if that would have impacted the negotiations
-
Not to sound like a homer BUT... this team was 8-8 but its a misleading record. How many losses were winable? BUF, GB, CHI just pop to mind. Lets face two of our top weapons (Pitta/Rice) were down. An anchored line lead by a true center and this offense as it stands will be better. We can compete in this division.

I love the idea of Edelman..... but who knows if anyone not named Brady,Rodgers,Manning or Brees and get him those numbers he had last year. I'd rather we have Smith for a fraction of the cost and put the extra $$$ towards Mack
-
Lets go dig up Garry Baxter...or maybe Alvin Porter
-
I'm not worried about CB. You can probably wait till training camp to pick up a nickel CB if Asa or Chyke don't cut it.
-
Just hope we still pickup a slot guy.
-
Schefter's saying the Brownies are cutting Weeden.... what a joke.... next they'll sign Shaub
-
just kidding.... what a waste by the bucs..... wasting a 1st and all that money
-
Sign Revis.... move Webb to FS....just saying
-
I remember them wanting to break the bank and sign David Boston. Man was I wrong on that one.
-
I'm not really crazy about an old vet or a young rookie in the deep secondary.
-
He averages 3 catches per game for 12yrds/catch, for a #2 that's horrible. The only 100 yard game was against the Jets were he caught one for 66 yards. https://www.google.com/search?q=jacoby+jones&oq=jacoby&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l5.3401j0j4&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8#expnd=1&q=jacoby+jones+season+stats

We cant afford two Flaccos! Where would we the the money to pay for everyone else!
-
They've mentioned names like Bailey or Cromartie. I would only do that if you plan on drafting a FS and need some time to groom him. I was really surprised Huff bombed soooo bad last year. Even if he played average we wouldn't be having this conversation.

My priorities: 1) Find a Center 2) Resign DSmith 3) Possession Receiver/KR 3) Vet FS 4) A decent backup TE

49ers acquire Jonathan Martin in trade with Dolphins
Robjr83 replied to papasmurfbell's topic in NFL General
I heard it was only a 7th -
I heard Clemons is a good underrated player. He only had 1 int last year (4 career) not exactly the ballhawk OZ wants.
-
Monroe was quoted as saying no hometown discount, market value, blah blah blah... The wanting to play here/ class organization thing was said after he couldn't get better money elsewhere. Yes its a win-win, Monroe still gets $$$ and the Ravens keep their left side in tacked.
-
JJ is a great PR/KR but that's it. Teams got smart last year and were playing 2 deep safeties. Take away the deep route and he's been useless as a WR.

Retweeted by Jeff Zrebiec Jamison Hensley @jamisonhensley 14h Another note on Eugene Monroe deal: His $7.5M average per year currently ranks 15th among NFL offensive tackles. #Ravens get bargain. Collapse

Did Angelos do the physical?

Rolando McClain reportedly planning NFL comeback
Robjr83 replied to ravinmaniac52's topic in Baltimore Ravens
I was talking from a legal standpoint... the NFL can do whatever it wants -
No doubt his numbers will fall... he has guts and goes over the middle. We need a 3rd down receiver. That's what the Ravens wanted in Stokley.
-
Would you guys rather have.... Steve Smith on the cheap - One year player, can still put up ok #s for a #2... maybe mentor the young'ins. Possible still draft another WR or Edelman- comes at a higher price. Much younger and higher upside over Smith. May not need to draft a WR.. and focus on other areas
