  1. JH thinks he should take the money. http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/52986/ravens-williams-should-take-the-money
  2. The only certainty in life is death and taxes....I'd take the offer. I liked his daughter quote “I don’t take anything for granted,” Williams said. “It’s an honor and a privilege to be in the NFL, but I know that 17 or 18 years from now my daughter is going to be in college and it’s going to be a bunch of money for tuition.” He's worried about tuition with $15 million?
  3. I blame Pees for not even trying to double cover him. Was Webb playing? Shouldn't you have your #1CB on their #1 WR...
  4. He ranked 15th in receptions, 20th in total yards, and 20th in yrs/game that's not that great.
  5. Unless his hands evolve then he'll be an average TE at best. I'd rather see Pitta get the start.
  6. The only real positives I saw out of that game was that the Oline did looked much improved. I think Birk had a lot to do with that. Second was the kicking game continues to do well. Finally both Asa Jackson and Thompson are proving to be real jems Ozzie found. Jones dropped an easy 1st down pass on the opening drive. As you put it Cam continues his lovefest with the reverse and Jones doing a good job only means Cam will keep doing it.
  7. Very true... I think the biggest change was losing Whines. He always had a way of getting open.
  8. I don't put much much faith in preseason predictions by anybody. You only have to look at last seasons "dream team" to see that. Pitt is Pitt they'll always be a competitive team.
  9. Hauschka made a total of 2 kicks in regular football games before the Ravens made him the starter. Technically not a rookie but far from a veteran.
  10. i know Cundiff screwed us royally, but do we want a rookie kicking for a playoff/superbowl caliber team? The name Houshka (spelling?) comes to mind. I'd rather them just brought in Shane Grahmn or somebody.
  11. More importantly about the Dallas game.... did the refs get the city right?
  12. They should have left him freezing on the tarmac up in New England.
  13. My gut feeling is we're going to get stuck with Cundiff this year. We got Cundiff for his touchbacks not accuracy, now with the ball 5yrds closer his kicking power isn't as big of an issue. Take the AFCCG out of the of equation (he never tried the attempt and Ravens lost with him being a nonfactor)...he still had a horrible year...why did we keep this guy?
  14. As long as his heads ok...that's what he uses to tackle.
  15. The DLine is just as much to blame as the secondary. A couple of Matty Melts plays came on rollouts because the line couldn't contain. Suggs and JJ are being missed.
  16. I guess Harbs thinks he's the BPA, doesn't bode well for Webb and Williams.
  17. So if Birk gets hurt (say week 9 or so) and Gino is the only other center on the roster what do they do. Go get a FA and have him start on less than a weeks notice?
  18. I don't think he's saying Gino's starting from day 1. Only if Birk gets injured or obviously cant physically handle it anymore.
  19. The D got to Joe a lot in ATL. I think most of that was on Williams and Gino. With Birk coming back I think the gaps wont be so bad.
  20. Just wishful thinking Papa. I like the quicker tempo but like yager said unless the line improves we'll just have quicker 3 and outs.
  21. Got to hand it to CO for being original. Most abusers go with the backhand CO went with his head.
  22. Did you read the part of why he was arguing with his wife? He left a receipt for a box of condoms in his car...oops.
  23. If Cundiff was kicking that ball it'd have missed her by 10ft to the left.
