  1. Moron, it's called optimism. You're guarantee means as much as mine does goof ball. I very intricately laid that out for you. I chose to look at this positively when I see a positive season ahead. What does your guarantee mean? What happens if you're right? All that means is you played a percentage that practically guarantees you were right. It's like guaranteeing that it won't rain in Nevada. Most of the time you're gonna be right. Even if you're wrong, what is the end result???? You can no more gauge whether the Ravens will win the Super Bowl than I can. You're a pessimistic angry little man that doesn't understand the concept that saying the Ravens won't win the Super Bowl is not a stretch in the remotest sense. You're not going out on a limb. You're no great prognosticator. I talk alot to have fun goof.
  2. Do you enjoy looking foolish or are you just so unbelievably self absorbed that you can't fathom that you would be wrong about something.
  3. What are you getting at? I would never bet anyone that a team would win the Super Bowl. I don't care what the team is, the odds are ridiculous that anyone could actually predict that. I've pointed that out to you before. That's why no puts any stock in your famed "predictions" that the Ravens won't win the Super Bowl. Well duh........chances are they won't. Chances are the Patriots and Pack won't either. Only 1 team gets to win it all. There's very little skill in saying a team won't win the Super Bowl. There's also no reason to put stock in anybody that says they will. I say they will for fun. Cuz I love the Ravens. Cuz I want them to succeed. Cuz I enjoy pumping people up on this board. People like Crav, Max, Force, Clettz, Dee, and the many others that I just don't have time to type right now. You are very trivial.
  4. Ricky Williams was a good backup. LT would be a better option than Benson. I get that you're thinking back-up but Benson is done period. He doesn't have what it takes to play a reduced role. It shows in his prima donna bs.
  5. I guarantee 3 consecutive Super Bowl wins!!!!!!!!!!!! What does what I guarantee matter? I'm simply being optimistic about a season. It's something that fans do. Honestly, look into it. We do it every year!
  6. So first he ran all over the Ravens and the Ravens couldn't stop him. Now, after seeing the stats, he got the hard yards that killed the Ravens? How many times has Cincy beat the ravens in the past 3-4 years? More importantly how many playoff games have they won? How many times have they even made the playoffs? All of this doesn't matter because it's not part of the argument. You argument was that Benson killed the Ravens. He ran on us and was completely effective. As Crav has already posted that's not the case. It's just not the case. You can make stuff up about the "tough" yards, but the fact is, and the end of the day, you are simply wrong. Benson has been effective against the Ravens. True. Benson was more ineffective than he was effective against the Ravens. Truer. Benson would not be a good addition to this team. Truest.
  7. So now the argument is changed to MJD? I thought we were talking about Benson. Son you've got to get your argument in order before you type.
  8. If at the end of the season, we have another CB, because we're gonna need 3 to defend our Super Bowl victory, then yes I would consider trading him. Only if we already had one addtl viable option after Willaims and Webb. If that did not exist I would keep Smith for our Second Super Bowl victory.
  9. I wouldn't say I'm very wrong. I don't recall which two people reported it, but both said that Smith was having some trouble picking up schemes and wasn't quite at the point the Ravens expected. I don't think this means that he'll be terrible or is having a terrible camp. I think the meaning is just that, at this point, Williams and Webb are the two better CBs. I expect Smith to be the best CB on this team in a year or two. I'm just saying, right now, based on what Papa wants to do right now, it would mean trading our 2nd best CB. By the end of the season, this statement may no longer be true as Smith will inevitably improve as the season progresses.
  10. So because we're paying someone that isn't as good more money than someone that is good, we should trade the better player????? What?????? We should pay the one that is better. And Jimmy's structured deal isn't that much of a hit. We can let his contract ride or trade him if he's not going to be as good as Williams. Honestly. You want to build for the future but retain a lesser player???? You will say anything to convince yourself you have a point. Anything.
  11. Now the lack of yards are hard yards? Cmon....this is ridiculous. The Ravens shut him down. Deal with it. There was one year where it was bad and you are fixated on it. Give me a break......hard yards.
  12. Nice try, in 2009 was the only year he averaged more than 100 yds against the Ravens. Try again.
  13. Word out of camp is that Smith is not progressing as quickly as thought. Why don't the Ravens see if Smith is going to pan out before they decide to trade a quality STARTING CB. I say the Ravens maintain their depth. That way they can win the Super Bowl and you can come up with excuses about why the Super Bowl win was not legit.
  14. Looks more like 2009 was the only good year. Try again.
  15. At first I read those stats and was wondering where you were going with this??? Then I noticed, those are two game combined stats! Hardly takes your breath away.
  16. Your initial argument was to trade our 2nd best corner. It does not make sense since 3 cbs are necessary to have a successful defense in today's NFL. CBs are also extremely hard to find. DE's are much easier to replace. NE made a good decision but it's not the same decision as the one you proposed. I hate having to explain this stuff to you. Once again, nice try but that's not the same decision. DE's are far more interchangeable than CB's. Fact. CB's are very hard to find and develop. If we've got em, we'll keep em and use em up. Once of the most moronic trades ever was Clinton Portis for Champ Bailey. Honestly....how'd that work out for the skins cuz it's been awesome for the Broncos. If you have solid CBs, you keep em, especially if you're in the mist of a playoff run. Of which.....we are whether you chose to admit or not Papa. You may proceed with your one line irrelevant response.
  17. A defensive end is not as hard to find as a cornerback. Nice try.
  18. He quits when things don't go his way. He's about him and his yards. Not about the team. Benson is not interested helping an offense succeed unless it includes him getting carries whether he's successful or not.
  19. Sounds like a steal, how do we get him! lol lol lol lol
  20. With the amount of castoffs the Bengals have had over their history I'm sure every team in the league has signed a Bengal or two.
  21. Some people just want to create controversy. Others just wanna see the big kid trip and fall. Neither of those is going to happen to this Ravens team. We don't have head cases in the locker room. (Which is why we won't be picking up Benson) We have a great coaching staff. We have talent, skill, focus, ability. What is it the Ravens don't have? We have as good a shot at the Super Bowl this year as any team does. We're balanced, and that's scary. Most teams are not balanced like we are. And we're not just balanced to say we're average on both sides of the ball. We're very good on both sides of the ball. That's a nightmare for an opposing head coach and their staff. Concentrate on containing Flacco and maybe Rice burns you. Slow the offense and Reed pick 6's you. One way or another we're gonna get you! lol
  22. Cmon Crav arent you the Obi won or Yoda of this board??? Shouldnt you be calming us down????? Lol lol lol
  23. Exactly. The guy thinks he is waaaaaay better than he really is. Ill pass. He doesnt play football like a Raven.
  24. You dont say? Do you mean to tell me that good QBs get rid of the ball quickly? ;) Arguing with Papa is beyond pointless. Ive conceded points to him in the past to see if I would get an objective response and it never comes. As far as the Oline. I dont believe they r terrible. Oher and yanda are awesome. Bryant despite being heavier than the Ravens wanted is still actually lighter than last year. He played well last year. We'll be fine there. Im thinking Birk will be fine for the first half of the year and ole Gino will take over. With Birk mentoring, Im just not worried. Birk knows his stuff and is a team player. Lastly that leaves one spot open in whivh our rook is gonna be a force. We're good. The stars are aligned. Place ur bets Ravens fan we're gonna have a fun season!
  25. Its beyond ridiculous. Its like the Pats wanting to trade Welker before last season started. Just nonsense. Building for the future is all good if you dont expect to make a deep playoff run. There is nothing that would indicate this team isnt ready for that run. Did I call the obscure one line response or what. Max do you want the xtra heavy lead vareity??? Lol.
