  1. Absolutely the best rivalry in football! Nobody plays the game like these two teams.
  2. I couldn't agree more. Part of what makes coaches great is assessing their players' capabilities and then designing situations that maximize their strengths. Flacco seems to love the run and gun style format. Give it to him! Let him do what he's good at. He still needs to work on all aspects of his game, but the majority of play calls should be to Flacco's strengths.
  3. That is way too young! Man, who's next Steve Gutenberg? Please tell me he hasn't passed and I'm not a total inconsiderate @$$.
  4. Last time there was this much smack talk let's take a look at what happened. Let's also not forget that it was the Ravens that gift wrapped the playoff game for Pitt last year. So if we review, Baltimore has beaten Pitt 2 out of the last 4 matchups and honestly should've beaten Pitt in the playoffs. Now kudos to Pitt, they are the AFC champs and did advance to the Super Bowl, however let's not pretend that Pitt just dominates this Ravens team everytime they play. If Baltimore wins that playoff game as they should have, that would be Baltimore 3 out of the last 4 meetings. Combine that with Pitts ridiculous injury problems and Suggs' ability to just eat that line up, no Pitt fan should be sitting in any sort of cat bird seat thinking "I'm stupid because I think this is easy".
  5. My gut is saying that I doubt either will play much this year. Maybe after week 11 or 12. Grubbs career may over with the toe thing. Toes on big men are very important! See Shag and Ogden. The toe injuries killed em both. Even Deion too awhile with his. As for Evans, we took a chance. We could be scary good late in the season if he finds his form. I'm just guessing based on other injuries that I've seen really affect other guys.
  6. I don't think the key to a Ravens victory is the injuries the Steelers have. We need to start playing football with consistency. That's our demon. That's our challenge. We conquer that, and I don't care if the Steelers are at full strength, they can't beat us period. We're a deeper and better team talent wise, but we're not a stronger team heart wise and mind wise. That's why we lost in the playoffs last year. We really need to "grow up" as a team and play with purpose and consistency. I feel that growth is on the shoulders of Flacco and Cam. If those two can get through whatever it is they're going through, we can be Green Bay good.
  7. We needed a miracle win against Zona. Beating Pitt doesn't seem realistic, however I'm done trying to gauge what this team is or isn't going to do. I'm just left wondering what is next. This is going to be a rollercoaster season huh, I really expected a smooth road to the playoffs haha.
  8. I would agree that the NFL is the most balanced of the big three (NBA, MLB, NFL)
  9. Fact: coaching staff has lost the players. They've quit.
  10. Hate to say it cuz Im a positive individual, but this team is cooked! Cam has lost the players. A midseason firing is in order. It doesnt get worse than these two games. Time to move in a different direction. Doesnt matter if it will be successful, this is pitiful.
  11. Why am I starting to like this guy???? He used to be the enemy, I'm so confused lol.
  12. TO is done in the NFL, period. Not even a bad small market team wants him anymore. Good riddance! He was terrible for the NFL and is reaping what he's sewed his whole career. Have fun in Chicago TO, heard Arena Football is alot of fun!
  13. Cam will never take the handcuffs off any of his QBs. His ego is too big. This story is starting to get clearer.
  14. Neither does Cam Newton. He's thrown for the 4th most passing yards in the league. Alex smith is rated above Flacco at the moment. Joe should not be doing this badly. He's a professional. I have faith in him, but he's got to get over his rift with Cam if he wants an ext and if ownership isn't going to give in. To the point of 2008 gameplannning. Absolutely. We were creative and tried to take advantage of mismatches. Now all we do is line up and go.
  15. I agree crav, and let me add...............
  16. Anyone know what Matt Cavanaugh is doing these days???
  17. I'm not advocating no OC, I'm saying promote someone. I'm sure there's someone on our staff that wants a shot. Someone that can attempt to step up. This offense right now, isn't much more than a rudderless ship. Let's put that into perspective. No third downs until the 3 quarter. That's damn near impossible to pull off! That's what a rudderless ship of an offense looks like. If Cam salvages this somehow I'll be amazed and I'll certainly shout from the mountaintops that I was wrong. But from where I'm sitting it doesn't get much worse.
  18. I think Crav's point is decision making in general. Good teams find ways to win when their teams play bad. Pitt has done if for years. So has Philly. In order to win consistently coaches have to make good decisions in crunch time and manufacture wins on occasion. This is why the kick should have went deep. Our defense was playing well and it was more than likely the best opportunity to finish the game. It's not the reason we lost, but very well a reason we did not win.
  19. This game absolutely means something. When you lose and Bmore claims victory in Pitt, you'll be down 3 games with a tough Cincy team just waiting to knock ya'll out of the playoff picture. Then again...with Cam, anything is possible lol.
  20. It's just my opinion that Cam has lost the confidence of his QB and players and therefore there is no chance for him to right the ship. I've been wrong before, but I think the only shot at salvaging something is to give the players some hope that things can change. So long as Cam is at the helm, they do not have this. Boldin is fed up, Joe stands next to him with a scowl and his arms crossed, and everyone is wondering why Rice isn't "given the damn ball". I guarantee you this has a ripple effect with the offensive line. Guys need something to play for, no matter what their age and experience level. Give a soldier something to fight for and he becomes more dangerous than 10 men. Try fighting an average man in his own home.
  21. Exactly, let's stop passing the buck. Harbaugh needs to man up and look Cam in the eye. Tell him that he's heard Florida is great this time of year, maybe he should go there for awhile. lol It's absolutely Cam's fault and to hear anything else is just irritating and insulting.
  22. You need to read the posts that you reply to. I clearly stated that both teams control their own destinies. There's no question. If Pitt loses to Bmore, they're behind the 8 ball bigtime. They are down a game and they're down the tiebreaker. If Bmore loses, the tiebreaker it's at least still open for Pitt to lose out, but it's decidedly in Pitts favor. I was fair, there is no doubt. Please read all posts thoroughly before smack talk commences. Otherwise, sometimes you look silly! :-)
  23. How does Pitt control their destiny more than Baltimore? It's a wash if you ask me. If Baltimore wins, they have the tie breaker period, end of story, no funny mathematical formulas of similar opponents etc. If we beat Pitt, we sweep the season series and own a two game lead, one for beating them, and two for the tiebreaker. Sounds like both teams control their destiny to me.
  24. Honestly, I believe that if we fire Cam before our match up against Pitt, we will prevail! I believe in this team, but not in Cam. If this team is allowed to control their own destiny with another OC, I'm sure they'll work hard to accomplish something great. If we stand still with Cam, it will be extremely tough to win despite his ineptitude. I'll never give up on my Ravens, never. I just know a tough spot when I see one. We so need Joe to step up and grow beyond Cam. We need Joe to take charge of his own destiny. If he will simply reach out and grab it, Pitt doesn't stand a chance. We're far deeper than they are talent wise. That is not to say Pitt doesn't have talent, that's just a tribute to the men on this roster.
  25. Please look up facetious and begin to look a little deeper.
