  1. Simmons wrote a great piece about the changing late-night dynamic on his website. And about John Mulaney, my favorite joke of his is part of his New in Town special: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNGz-coRK5w
  2. Mulaney is my favorite in a really long time. It might be because he's an effeminate little girl like me, but nevertheless.
  3. He is Joe Flacco Jr. in just about every single way.
  4. The fact that they signed Forsett most likely precludes them from going anywhere near Archer.
  5. Because he bought the house in 2008, as the bubble was bursting.
  6. Well, duh. He's on ESPN.
  7. Thanks, but no thanks.
  8. Chykie is actually pretty good, so I'm not sure where you're getting that opinion. No he's not a cover corner and no he doesn't have fantastic ball skills, but he has long arms and he's a really quick mover (fast recovery). He's perfect for the slot and I'd expect him to do better there than Webb was doing at the end of last season.
  9. And cute and talented with three kids is just plain hard-working.
  10. Maybe I'm the only one who feels like, if you're interested in being in the business of news, that you should only be writing things that are actually news? I really don't understand. Whatever.
  11. Oh, boy. Tony is really funny. He's so great.
  12. I'm glad that I didn't.
  13. Not really dealing power, since they can't be traded. But those are four more players we get to bring in.
  14. I'm in. Let's go. Rise and fire.
  15. I was gonna say...
  16. Woohoo. Probably not ready for opening day, not that any of us really expected it. Buck doesn't want to say anything yet. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/10612739/manny-machado-baltimore-orioles-not-ready-opening-day
  17. We were always taught that, but the truth is actually the opposite; farmers have always hated DST until recently, because they lose the time in the morning when they're generally more inclined to be farming.
  18. Here's a good comparison SI did a few months ago, with Santana thrown in: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/mlb/news/20131220/best-free-agent-pitcher-matt-garza-ubaldo-jimenez-ervin-santana/
  19. I think the summary is correct...Garza and Jimenez are both very similar and we probably got the slightly better one of the two; we definitely did not get any sort of amazingly discounted front office treasure find as some would like to think, though.
  20. The daylight is gained in the evening, obviously, at the cost of morning light. It serves the purpose of increasing retail traffic and keeping people outside later, and those are the people of whom the governments of the western world are in the pockets.
  21. Storm is largely missing to the south...Annapolis and DC might get a foot, but we're looking at about 6" at this point.
  22. Osemele is much more effective at guard (he's a mauler), and he's stated before that he prefers that position over RT. I think Jensen gets the C spot if they deem him ready to start.
  23. Rice isn't going to be suspended, and you guys are crazy if you think otherwise. And, for what it's worth, someone is going to throw a boatload of money (whether Minnesota or not) at Toby Gerhart.
  24. Don't take the projections as set in stone...there are plenty of influences that will affect them each year, which is why they aren't announced until last minute (and sometimes seem to fluctuate so much). The cap is also a major bargaining chip between the union and the league each year.
