  1. http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2012/02/15/mother-of-fallen-marine-offended-by-half-mast-flag-for-houston/ Curious as to whether any of you agree with New Jersey lowering their flags to half-mast in honor of her.
  2. Almost all of them, these days.
  3. Using potentially fatal drugs is much more than a "negligent way to die". It's actively changing the human condition to a preferred state and risking the livelihood of that person to that end. And I don't think anyone claimed to desire a nanny state. I don't really care what anyone does or uses, either, but I don't expect to be criticized when I show no sympathy because of their choice to instantaneously kill themselves.
  4. Essentially. And we only have more players to pay now, not to mention the actual starter (Rice). I don't really understand why anyone thinks we should pay a backup so much money when we'll have to pay Rice one way or another, or lose him. This is an opportune time to draft a player.
  5. Of course you're being argumentative, don't be silly. I said nothing about wanting anyone to rot in hell, and vaguely recall saying that Crav was too harsh. I don't, however, have any sympathy for someone who intentionally abuses something obviously and potentially fatal (not to mention illegal, in this case) to the extent that fatality is realized. Deal with it. PS: "without knowing anything about the circumstances" is a nice way of circumventing the entire argument to prove a point, when the fact is that the circumstances are rather clear.
  6. Anything intentional.
  7. He's going to want way too much money.
  8. Precisely. And guess what? If drug abuse had caused that woman's stroke and subsequent death, she wouldn't deserve sympathy either.
  9. Maybe Crav is being too harsh, but I don't think a lot of sympathy is deserved here. It's just a shame.
  10. I wish it were funny, because I hate Brady, but it's not.
  11. Or J.J. Watt, or Ryan Kerrigan, or Adrian Clayborn. The entire 2011 draft was stocked with Big Ten DEs, so that's one of the more ridiculous things you've ever said, really. Oh, and the SEC is overrated.
  12. We aren't (and haven't really been) a depth team like New England, for example. It wouldn't be worth his time to try trading players for picks.
  13. I have quite a few friends from there. And it's pretty well-known up here because of Ray III.
  14. I'm attempting to move there.
  15. Dammit! I literally came here to post exactly that picture.
  16. More importantly, he ended his career by leaving two teams (Miami and Dallas) in shambles.
  17. I'm trying my hardest to follow in your footsteps (Lake Mary). Send me some of that union money?
  18. I'm kind of annoyed by how many people think Allen or Pierre-Paul should have won it. Allen played on an atrocious defense as part of an atrocious team (and didn't do much outside of his sacks, mind you), and JPP didn't even start until about week 6. Suggs was the DPOY without a doubt, and it's exciting to know he's ours.
  19. Bang Cartoons (Dee will remember them) played it once, but I can't find it online anywhere else. Maybe I'll go through their old radio shows.
  20. We already had Flynn and Mitchell as rookies on the team that year, not to mention Wally Williams, who played center as much as he did guard. There was no need for Saturday. Especially considering he lacked so many physical attributes that an offensive lineman should have; the only reasons Saturday became a very good player were years of polishing skills, and playing in front of possibly the best QB in history.
  21. Do you guys remember the speech where he named all his kids? I have to find it, it was hysterical. Diamond, Destiny, De'shaunta, Touchdown, GetFiredUp, they were great names.
  22. Oh, come on. He was here for a few weeks and didn't make an impact in Indy for two more years. He's a smart guy, but that entire offense was created courtesy of Peyton. He has nothing to do with this team.
  23. I'm sorry, but you guys are talking from emotion and not film study. Yeah, he had a few awful plays this year, but he was one of the better centers in the league, even considering that he was injured in preseason and early in the year.
