  1. Heard mainly on ESPN. Not many great things heard, but I think he might be the best signing so far. Red Sox and Nationals are still in the running. Supposedly he's close to signing a two year, $12 million deal. Link: http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/mlb/news/story?id=5919661
  2. We have a bevy of average to pretty good cornerbacks on this team: Carr, Webb, Wilson, Washington, plus Foxworth. And Cary Williams is supposed to be pretty decent in the future, too. We know Washington is probably the least likely to stick around, but these are some pretty decent (albeit short) corners this team has built up. Just felt like that needed to be pointed out, because when we mention our beaten up and used and abused secondary, these guys get bunched in. And they're not always the problem.
  3. Gruden pointed out that Schaub needed to be careful, not that there was a hold. And that's two plays with decent pressure with the other team backed up at their own goal line. That's not evidence that they weren't still tired and weren't still about to get run over.
  4. I don't think they want him. He has pissed off way too many people.
  5. I know that. I'm just saying that Gaither is too far gone, out of the plans, and unlikely to come back.
  6. Oher is fine. Big deal, he's missed a couple of safety (not corner) blitzes. That is one individual type of mistake and can be corrected with time and study. Same with the false starts (at least I hope). There are a lot of other things Oher does at least as well as most other left tackles. He's going to be fine. And we're past the point of paying Gaither. That stone has turned.
  7. Bull****. If Josh Wilson didn't jump that route, everyone here knows Schaub would have driven down the field and scored. The D didn't say anything but "oh holy hell I'm tired" and watched as the Texans drove up and down the field. They were going to do it again, too, if not for Wilson.
  8. I don't know how no one noticed this sooner.
  9. I'm more angry this week than I was last week.
  10. Most stressful fucking game I have ever watched in my life.
  11. And how are you supposed to run more than a dozen plays when the other team is going 100 yards up and down the field every possession?
  12. I'M TIRED OF THIS SHIT.
  13. Knew it was coming.
  14. Sorry, I forgot it was MNF. Blowed out.
  15. Read this: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/12/12/favre-camp-to-sterger-camp-give-us-a-lawsuit/
  16. The MNF guys will be alright. The idiots before and after will be bobbing on Favre, but the game should be alright to watch (until we're getting blown out).
  17. Not true. It's because Sterger and Co. have nothing. The Favre camp WANTS it to go to litigation. Favre wins nothing by sitting and waiting to hear from them. Sterger wins by keeping it alive. The NFL isn't doing anything because the NFL has no idea one way or another. They won't do anything until there is a trial or a settlement.
  18. We'll win or lose on a field goal. I'm calling it here. We are not blowing out the Texans, simple as that.
  19. Anyone can handle pressure well when their team is blowing everyone out.
  20. Nor will Cam be able to carry Andrew Luck's once they get to the NFL.
  21. I hope OTR loses violently. I hate you OTR. That should have been my playoff spot.
  22. I guess that means Colt Brennan should have been the best NFL QB in history.
  23. Not even the best QB in the draft.
  24. To put it simply: the MIAA (Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association) has voted to institute a playoff in the A conference (Loyola and Calvert Hall's conference). Both schools are appealing the decision. Supposedly, the "solution" on the table by each school is playing the game on Thanksgiving, as usual, but after the playoffs.
