  1. Sam is the strong side linebacker (usually during a blitz). Will is the weak side linebacker. Mike is the middle linebacker. Rush isn't nearly as common a term, but it's applied to the linebacker who (get this) rushes more often than not; they're usually the hybrid DE/LB types.
  2. Should I try out?
  3. Except that he wasn't trying to lose the weight.
  4. Cravnravn says: "Bengals? *** I'm stupid for thinking this game is easy ***."
  5. I have a feeling that this was a drinking episode. Especially considering that camp is on the horizon. Two flights of stairs? I don't know how you can do that. And it's not like he's never lied about accidents he's caused before.
  6. I wish he would have.
  7. When? And the fact that they don't come out and say it is the entire point. I don't either. But, again, that's the point. If a player has a problem with his contract and talks to management about it, then more power to him. He has every right in the world to do so. The problem comes in spouting off about it to irrelevant people.
  8. The difference is that the team doesn't come out and say that they don't want the player long before it happens.
  9. So apparently we're going to lose to the Panthers?

  11. It's disappointing and it makes camp (admittedly) a lot less fun. But you know it's the right thing to do.
  12. For adults, anyway. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/13/ravens-revise-training-camp-autograph-policy/#comments
  13. Tumbling down the rankings... I've had two really putrid weeks in a row.
  14. Yes, he does. There is no legal right to film or interfere with police, fire, or medical personnel. The fact that it's public property means nothing. As Kev said, she has the right to ask questions, and they have the right to refuse to answer them and summon authorities to keep her from interfering.
  15. I almost actually feel bad for the city of Cleveland, at this point.
  16. The Facebook story irritates me. Mike Florio is incredible at making news when there isn't any. Besides, I'd be willing to bet the majority of us agree with Smith.
  17. Of course you would, you buffoon. Thomas is all but out of the league, and Scott still wasn't the best linebacker on his own team last year.
  18. I'm not diminishing the importance whatsoever. I'm just saying...that's where the obvious discrepancy lies.
  19. Look at the numbers. It's just the international thing. We have nothing on that front.

    Huh?

    Because he is.
  21. FIFA might axe the ref: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-cup/story/_/id/5304289/ce/us/fifa-ax-us-slovenia-ref-wc?cc=5901&ver=us
  22. I still have to finish freshman year... I never did or will have any intent of getting a degree in education. That's a pretty obvious waste of time and money. The only reason I asked was simply because I'm not sure what my interest is, and wondered how I might still parlay that into teaching (akin to taking general ed classes when unsure of a major). I suppose I'm just asking whether it's any different. Tedious and dreadfully painful don't phase me. I think they apply to quite a few subjects, and certainly all of those where I hold interest. And you know you miss the chair. I've barely been managing (while open) for a month now, and I already miss the chair.
  23. Come lifeguard. ;) In other news, reading this thread is intriguing to me. I'm going back to school in September, and teaching has caught on for me as a career desire since leaving the 'Cuse. Any general thoughts? No, I'm not entirely confident in it, yet.
