  1. Worilds does a much better job on Woodley side and seemed to disappear on Harrison's side.

Very true. I'm actually more concerned about the lack of depth at OLB for us than who we've got starting though. Worilds is still an unkown for me. I'm glad to see him get a shot, I guess Tomlin really spoke up for him when they drafted him, so if just for that I'd like to see him come through. He can definitely get to the QB though, main problem is he isn't as good against the run. I guess we'll find out!

  2. yeah, Harrison has been one of my favorites, so I'm sorry to see him go. But it I'll get over it and it's time to move on. I don't know for sure, but Woodley doesn't seem like he'll be able to play at Harrison's spot. We'll see if Worilds has got it.

  3. i'm a little concerned about losing him, but I'm not sure what the Patriots see in him. He would have probably been our #2 WR this year, but ability-wise he seems like a #3 to me. I would compare him to Nate Washington who now plays for Tennessee.

Oh well, we'll get a 3 RD pick for him and we should be able to draft somebody who can match his production and skill.

EDIT: And I may have jumped the gun a little because I don't exactly understand all the rules about free agency. It seems Sanders has signed an offer sheet with the Patriots, and the Steelers now have a week to look it over.

  4. Keenan Lewis is now talking with the Saints. I don't think they can offer him much because their cap situation is no good. I hope the Steelers can match their offer, but maybe Lewis wants to go back down south like Wallace.

Either way, we'll have Ike, Cortez Allen, William Gay, and Curtis Brown. We've already looked at Vaccaro. Looks like we're looking hard at Matt Elam in the draft. He might fall to us in the second at this point, but we might have to trade back in the 1st to get him. If not, there's always Swearinger latter on.

  5. Welcome to the board and thanks for the congrats! We have a couple of other Steelers fans who post too. I am really looking forward to our games this year too. After this Super Bowl this is the first time I can say the Ravens and Steelers are on even ground. In the past the Steelers have always been the older brother, now I feel like we are two, even elite teams. Look forward to hearing from you in the future!

thanks! Our whole division is looking pretty close I think. Nothing better than the Steelers vs. Ravens games.

  6. this season is going to be a big test for Tomlin, no doubt. The Steelers GM, Colbert, has stated that neither he nor Tomlin saw any "fracture" in the locker-room. Whether that's to be believed or not is a good question.

We're going to get rid of Wallace and Mendenhall, two players who are suspected of creating the fracture off the field. True, we're also going to lose some veteran leadership, unfortunately a healthy Harrison will be gone due to cap space. I am excited to see how Tomlin handles this team this season. Steelers fans are questioning his coaching abilities but I for one respect what he does.
