  1. Ok oldschool, all of your reason are bogus and you know it, So Joe has no control over where he throws the ball? LOL , Joe doesn't run the offense another LOL, I've seen joe on plenty occasions throw the ball to guys that are covered, so he doesn't have to throw the ball to the open guy? Joe calls audibles now, I'm beginning to think most of you guys know nothing about football, or soon as someone brings up Flacco or pitta and they aren't showering them with praises you guys lose all logic, reasoning and sensibility. one of the biggest parts of being a QB is decision making, but Oldschool is under the impression that joe doesn't control where the ball goes. lol
  2. Joe is elite, a superbowl MVP and he is going to lead us to another one this year! All i'm telling you guys is what my relative told me, i didn't say whether pitta took Joe's promises seriously or not, i don't know that, but my relative has built relationships with ravens players through the years and everything that he has told me in the past has turned out to be true, I'm not bashing Joe, but why is it so out of the question for joe to tell Pitta, his best friend on the team, that he is going to make sure he has a big year so he can get the big bucks?
  3. Money i don't have a link, but what i will say is that i'm related to the owner of a restaurant/carry-out near the ravens facility that alot of the players frequent and my relative over heard a convo between a few of the players. and no i'm not naming the players. but they were saying that they were somewhat upset about Flacco promising Pitta a monster year, as if he was going to put pitta's personal success ahead of the teams.
  4. I almost think thats what he is going to have to do.
  5. Not a shock to me, i was very impressed with his play last year, he was a tackling machine, and i'm surprised more of my fellow ravens fans haven't been singing him praises. he had the mic in his helmet calling the plays last year when he started and did a damn good job, he my perfect world Bynes and Brown start in the middle with solid veteran backups Smith and Mcclelan(sp) as back ups. Might as well let these youngsters hit the ground running.
  6. This is somewhat off topic but word is Flacco and his wife had dinner with pitta and his wife and Flacco advised pitta not to sign this year, Flacco told Pitta that he would make sure he had a monster year, i think this is why flacco took the pitta injury really hard, not only is pitta one of his best friends but now in hindsight he gave him horrible advice.
  7. Poor Money, now i'm someone from the ESPN boards LOL And would you go and figure, Poor Money actually is in agreement with me that Pitta won't be missed, but the schitzo can't even figure that out.
  8. You're all over the place, you're a joke, you jump from one topic to another. Now you're talking about Joe Flacco. show me where i've said anything about joe Flacco and his money, now you're going in on suggs and ngata. Ozzie can't trim 500,000 or he'll ruin and destroy the franchise. You are a complete Joke. You putting words in my mouth and just plain making up stuff LOL. You're doing all of this because i agreed with what the majority of people were saying about Boldin and that is we don't need him and i'm saying we don't need Pitta either. Money get a life cause you're living in some kind of bizarro world where you think just because you say something that makes it the truth
  9. dude , i've been over the Boldin move,I've said many times in this very topic that boldin is gone and we'll be ok, can you not read, Pitta is gone and we'll be ok.we will field a very competitive team. i brought up boldin to make the point about Pitta. if you would just read what i'm typing and stop with YOUR agenda we would stop going in circles. I'll state my original point again since you seem to have a hard time comprehending. IF the Boldin move will not effect us then the Pitta injury will not effect us, thats my point all of the "what ifs' are counterproductive. I don't get it , if you're not even going to read what i'm typing whats your point of responding?
  10. LOL, so cutting jones would be selling out and destroying the future of the team, if thats the difference between repeating and not repeating then it would be a good move.and you would still have money left over in case of an emergency. It's all "what ifs " anyway, bottomline :Pitta is gone and we won't miss a beat, we wasn't going to miss a beat with boldin gone and we won't miss a beat with pitta gone. You're a funny guy though"if he didn't do it with heap, he sure as hell wouldn't do it with boldin" , i guess you want to debate about heap and boldin now, try a different bait, cause thats not going to work.
  11. Crave, let's give the rook some time to learn the techniques, looking at the kid he looks the part of a bruising FB, WHEN he gets his intensity up and gets the technique down he'll be good, Juice in the passing game is where he'll do his damage this year.
  12. I just threw Williams name out there , but you missed the point or you just want to be an A-hole, do you really think Ozzie couldn't trim 500,000 if he needed to. C'mon man. We're stacked on the D-line cut Jones. how about that.
  13. well now you go to number 3 in the categories. There's a gap between number one and number two that you guys are not acknowledging , so the gap between number two and number three i won't acknowledge. Losing Pitta is no big deal, we have nothing to worry about, Dickson, Juice, Furst and our young Wr's will pick up the slack, along with ray and pierce toting the rock. pitta should have signed ,his gamble didn't pay off, the season still must be played. we won't miss Boldin and we won't miss Pitta.
  14. Laquan Williams makes 555,000 , there you go, not that hard to look up salaries. I'm disagreeing with you Money, you're the one saying Dooms wouldn't be here and Leach couldn't come back. and i just showed you that Dooms wouldn't have been effected by us keeping Boldin. Everyone is talking about how big this Pitta loss is , well if Boldin was here it wouldn't be that big of a loss. My overall point is still the same if the Boldin loss is not a big deal , then neither is us losing Pitta.
  15. Everyone is raven about this kid John Simon, so to your incorrect analysis about Dooms not being here, just to humor you, Simon would then take Dooms role. Simon is a workout warrior with a high motor, he could fill the role just fine and may even be better than Dooms , time will tell, but we'd have Boldin and i would feel alot better about the offense.
  16. If we were 5.5 million under the cap why would that effect Dooms , the money could have been cut from somewhere else. The goal line debacle in practice is way over blown if you ask me, Juice is a very good receiver and you can scheme to your strengths down on the goal line(anywhere on the field as a matter of fact). So while the power running game may not be what it once was with Leach , you play to your strengths and spread the defense out and run with deception or play action or just pass. Leach would be less of a need if we still had Boldin.
  17. we were 5.5 million under before we signed Shiancoe, trim a little here a little there , and in theory we could have kept Boldin, hindsight is 20/20 , but we could have kept Boldin.
  18. So you wouldn't want Boldin back at 6 million now?
  19. I'll take the mentality that alot of my fellow ravens fans took when we traded Boldin, and apply it to the Pitta loss, "we really don't need him" i'm paraphrasing but that's been the mentality in a nutshell. Boldin's contributions to our superbowl run have been minimized so i'll do the same for Pitta. Pitta really isn't that important just as long as we have Joe. If Boldin wasn't going to be missed then neither is Pitta.
  20. i thought the Ravens motto for this upcoming season was "HERE WE ARE".And i like it, you're looking for us, well you don't have to look long or hard, "HERE WE ARE" now what
  21. I understand that, my last post was in response to Varaven saying Joe would be fine if the team went 10-6 or 6-10.
  22. If Joe is fine with the team going 6-10, then thats when i think a change of mentality needs to take place
  23. here's some Jacoby news, he'll pass the conditioning test today or tomorrow.
  24. Whatever mentality and state of mind Joe has had in the past, it's worked for him and the team, so it shouldn't change now. I'm glad his approach to the game hasn't changed and that the money and accolades doesn't affect him, BUT what i expect from Joe as a rookie and what i expect from Joe in his 6th year has changed. In years past i looked at Joe as a game manager(first 3 years), the last 2 years i see Joe as a game manager, but in the big games now he steps up his game to another level and thats where i hope he stays, the bigger the game the bigger Joe plays.
