  1. Definitely a very bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season thus far. I always believed in this kid and I could never figure out why he wasn't showing what he was capable of doing. I literally had hopes for him all the way up to the day he was cut. He then comes back a completely different player. This is a crazy game sometimes.
  2. Ngata has been a huge disappointment yet again. I hope Brandon Williams continues to progress and get more time.
  3. To be fair, McKinnie is only worth one or two posts. The thread either needed to evolve or it was going to die.
  4. I'm not big on playing the "what if" game, but the losses of Birk and Pitta are far more significant than the loss of Boldin. The guys we have must step up and play better. It's that simple.
  5. Troy Smith scored a 15. That's "stupid". Every player entering the NFL draft has to take the Wonderlic, yet according to you it's "my theory". Just a suggestion, but don't entertain any thoughts of taking the test yourself. You might be in for quite the reality check.
  6. Problem is...he hasn't been healthy since he signed that huge contract. Being injured is no longer an excuse, it's the norm.
  7. It's pretty simple for me. Fix the Oline and the interior of the Dline and watch this team walk into the playoffs for the 6th straight year. The OL doesn't need to be stellar, but they need to win 60% of the time. Right now, they are winning about 25-30% of the time.
  8. I love how you just throw whatever garbage out there that you fell like spewing. The average Wonderlic score for a QB is 24. Joe got a 27. Not fantastic by any stretch, but good enough to show that this is just more Flacco hate from you.
  9. Okay...but the NFLPA will never, ever allow that to happen, so I feel like it's more just fantasy than speculating.
  10. Did I miss something? Was this part of the negotiated CBA? BTW...how is a hospital/patient situation relevant here?
  11. Either you are joking or you have no idea how the NFLPA operates.
  12. You think the players association would go for that?
  13. You're agreeing with me. The players have no business suing the league. Without threat of lawsuits, the league would not be attempting to change the game. It's the players' faults. Not the league's. You can't blame the league for protecting itself against lawsuits or poor publicity from the bleeding hearts out there.
  14. How is it the league's fault though? Do you expect the league to just continue settling lawsuit after lawsuit and not attempt to make changes? The majority of players talking tough right now will be in the middle of a lawsuit against the league 20 years from now.
  15. I didn't like the hit and if someone hit Torrey Smith like that, I'd be screaming. Just being honest...
  16. There is absolutely nothing wrong with fantasy football. Can't say the same for the assclowns that sent Rice death threats though. Players get death threats for costing their teams games. Are sports in general stupid? This is a case of morons being able to have no accountability due to social media.
  17. Harbaugh, Flacco and Rice have never lost to an NFC team at home. 10-0.
  18. Ummm...yes please! The only way teams can stop that 37 year old is literally putting two guys on him at the line of scrimmage.
  19. The majority of Rice's contract was guaranteed bonus money. His per year base salaries are low. When Rice signed his deal, he got $15mil as a signing bonus. For cap purposes, this gets split over the 5 years at $3mil per year. He also just got an option bonus of an addition $7mil this year. This gets split at $1.75mil per year over the remaining 4 years. If the Ravens cut or trade Rice, all of this money accelerates into the year he is gone as "dead money". For cap purposes, the first year it actually becomes cheaper for him to be off the roster than on the roster is 2016 which is the last year of his contract. BTW...the 2015 numbers I listed above obviously wouldn't apply if he was gone in 2014. It is a one year hit which lessens each subsequent year.
  20. They will have Rice for two more years. 2014 cap hit if he's on the team = $8.75mil / off the team = $14.25mil 2015 cap hit if he's on the team = $7.75mil / off the team = $9.5mil It doesn't make sense to part ways with him until 2016.
  21. Also...I'm not sure Atlanta has thrown in the towel yet. They do get SJax back and have TB, Arizona and Carolina as their next three games. It could very well be quite a while before they decide they are out of the WC race.
  22. Going forward, I would love to see Monroe signed long-term. I would like to move Osemele back to RT. I want the Ravens to draft a stud LG (which is achievable towards the bottom of the first round, unlike T). I don't want them to give up on Gino, but they need to bring in better competition next year (whether that be through the draft or FA).

I don't understand where you are coming from with this. Brady has the best offensive line in the NFL protecting him. Last year he had Welker, Gronkowski and Hernandez as weapons (not too shabby). The Ravens need to strive to always have an elite offensive line (signing Monroe long term will be a nice step). They can no longer sign a RB to a big money extension (they wouldn't have signed Rice had the timing been a little different). They should invest in Torrey Smith and the TE position. There are actually other deals I'm more concerned about. They need to get out from under the Rice and Ngata contracts. I'm also concerned that Ladarius will not be able to play CB for much longer. I love the idea of Webby as our FS (Elam playing SS), but that is a lot of money to pay for a safety. I do think Webb can be the same type of playmaker as Reed though.
  24. Never going to happen. If anyone had a shot, it would be the Chiefs. Gonzalez has already stated that he doesn't want to be traded.
  25. Oh happy day! Our front office finally listened to me.
