  1. Joe said he's open to restructure because he wants to win. He saw Brady do it all the time to kee his linemen and other guys around to keep winning. As far as free agents, they don't have enough cap space for any big signings like Von Miller, maybe someone not as known as him. Ravens camp space is always close to the top. It's how they win super bowls.
  2. Ditto on Perriman. The only way he is a bust is if he's still injured in training camp and it's useless. Someone posted a link how difficult it is to come back from his injury. Many don't. It took 3 years to officially call Kindle a bust.
  3. If it was on anyone it was on Joe. Even the pass mentioned above was a bad pass from Joe and so was that last pick plus another pick. The D won the game holding Denver to 4 GBs but the offense lost it in the trenches and QB position.
  4. It only has a few posters and half of those are MODs. I'm guessing the board used to be bigger with more traffic. My post was the only one all day Saturdy. It's picked up a little today with Smurf's posts and yours.
  5. No he didn't. The corner back got his hand on the ball and tiped it. He even said he touched the ball and the replay shos it. In fact, if you watch the replay, he tips it back into SRs hands but the ball hits his hands harder than he anticipated so it bounces off his hands and into his chest and off his chest. Almost similar to the Lee Evans drop and in defense of Evans, there was very little separation and the CB was so close to him he was able to stick his hand down there and knock it out. Someone said here that SR makes that catch 9 of 10 times. That was the 10th time but only because the CB got his hand on the ball. Ravens lost it in the trenches again with Joe getting sacked twice plus a lot of pressures and 2 picks. The defense won the game holding Denver to 4 FGs. That should have won it but with all the pressures and 2 sacks, Joe had a bad game. That was a bad throw to SR above.
  6. Yes. 2d offense not to get confused with first one. I thought it was about the NFL extending the first penalty by the Ravens by reading the title. So it was two events. Besides Crav, this forum needs more threads. Not too active ya know?
  7. Yikes, I agree with you. The entire D was bad and it effected everyone. CJ almost won DROY. He can't be as bad as T. Sylvestor says and he got better as the defense did as Smurf pointed out. We didn't lose because of him in Denver.
  8. Man, what an ass hole. He just served the last 4 games suspension by the Ravens and now he's caught again using performance enhancement drugs for 10 games by the NFL. They will be the 1st 10 games. HARBs is shocked and doesn't think he realized what he was doing. EHH - He knew but should have stopped after the last suspension. Ravens were hi on him too and had their TE position set with Gilmore, Maxx and Boyle. Next one and he's out of here for at least 2 years. What an ass hole but he looks like a mean mutha ficker. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Nick-Boyle-Suspended-10-Games-For-PEDs/4569f078-f341-4269-8833-4751e4d99f93
  9. CJ got a higher grade of +2.9 vs Denver in Wk 1 and of course the eventual SB champs. Note their comment on the o-line which is why we lost the game, not CJ. Joe was Killed in the trenches again with 22 of 34 pressures and he had 2.49 secs to throw and this is why I'd be really excited with LT Ronnie Stanley but he could be drafted by 3rd spot. PFF breaks down LT Tunsil called the best player in the entire country picked to go #1 by Kiper and others. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/09/14/bal-den-grades-defense-dominates-the-day/
  10. Hargreaves won't come close to grading out as even as Buckner if Kiper has him going #3. McShay might like him but I've seen him going way down in the first with comments that he'll get bumped and pushed around in NFL something McShay doesn't consider.
  11. Here's that name Buckner again for Ravens d-line over Bosa. This time by Jamison Hensley. Hargreaves is the No. 4 prospect in Todd McShay's player rankings. The other option is Oregon defensive end DeForest Buckner. He can be a dominant force on the defensive line and has the motor that the Ravens like. But, if Hargreaves and Buckner have close to the same grade, the Ravens will go with the bigger position of need.
  12. As a rookie he just missed DROY by 7 votes to Donald. He made the pro bowl team as a rookie but he seemed to enter a sophomore slump with less tackles (not by much) and some not so hot coverage skills as always mentioned by our own T. Sylvestor. PFF seems to agree with him here and gave CJ a bad rating of -4.8. CJ doesn't worry about critics like T. He had an off-season wrist injury that kept him from working out but he didn't use it as an excuse. He also had another good linebacker D. Smith taking tackles from him causing his output to dwindle but he just missed his projection by 17. He's working hard this off season and to improve. In spite of all the doom and not making the pro bowl again he was an alternate for the all star game in Hawaii as his tackles numbers increased in the 2d half and the Ravens defense lost 14 of 16 games by only 8 points. Linebackers: C.J. Mosley, Ravens (-4.8) and Manti Te’o, Chargers (-4.8) Mosley’s grade comes almost entirely from his poor run defense. He had nine total tackles on the day, but only three of them were stops, and those were all in the passing game. Against the run he was just unable to get involved in anything early on in plays, which led to his poor grade. Te’o struggled in coverage, as all six targets he saw were completed for 58 yards. He also missed two tackles on the day, and finished with a poor run defense grade as well.
  13. Last year Kiper's final mock had us taking Carl Davis whom we got in the 3rd after drafting Perriman in 1st round and Maxx in 2d round. Oz said he originally had Davis in first round but he dropped. DeCosta said he was shocked to see him still on the board in the 3rd round. Great value pick there who had some great moments as a rookie. Maxx gained more yardage than any rookie TE in history and will be a Heap-like star once he bulks up and develops. HARBs said people bounced off of him this year, not the other way around. He's excited. Only bust of course was Perriman but hopefully he returns strong this year to go with Aiken.
  14. Here's a new name I haven't heard that Kiper has going to SD @ #3 - DeForest Buckner. I haven't seen this anywhere near the top 5, middle 1st round but not top 5. Kiper said he grades out the same as Bosa who also fits anywhere. I'd take Bosa but let SD take Buckner so we have a better shot at Bosa. With Tunsil, Wentz, QB, Buckner, Treadwell gone and Jags taking Ramsey, that leave Bosa to Ravens plus Hargreaves, Spence and Stanley.
  15. Exactly guys but all the boards are doing this. One board as the way to early draft thread talking about who will be there and who everyone wants. People are getting their info together. Nothing is serious until after the FA signings which start in a short whil thru March and the Combines where everyone's numbers and times become NFL official. That's when names will fall and rise. Right now things are ranked according to their SR Bowl performances like Noah Spence who tore them up and has risen from a 2d rounder to 1st to maybe top 10 pick. That's a new name that was posted this past week so we have another impact player to choose from. It's all about getting info and having a little for for draft geeks like us. I don't watch much college football so I have to do a lot of homework to find out. Links like NFLDRAFTBLITZ.COM is one good tool as is Walterfootball.
  16. PFF ranked Carolina's o-line 4th best overall. Said they were bunch of cast offs from other teams like Oher but the front office did a good job of finding them and the coaches did a great job of coaching. UM, not by the pic I posted above with the bad techniques. LOL - PFF said Oher was the only dud and first round pick on their line. Like I said at the top, they got into the SB in spite of Oher, just like Ravens and the line got killed by Von Miller and company. PFF ranked Denver's o-line much lower than 4th and they won. DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS SPELLED VON MILLER NOT MICHAEL OHER But there are fans still making excuses for him plus his own.
  17. Kiper had Ravens drafting LT Stanley only if KO leaves. Guess Bosa is it if KO stays. Jones is gonna draft Treadwell. He wants a weapon for Romeo then go for the QB in next year's draft. Goff and the other QB should go in the top 3. Tunsil should go in the top 3 also, if not the top 4. I've even seen Tunsil and the other LT-Stanley in the top 3 and Tunsil as the #1 pick in the draft. So it's possible that these players will be gone by Ravens turn. 1. QB 2. Tunsil 3. QB 4. Treadwell 5. Ramsey or Bosa to Jags. 6. Bosa, Ramsey or Noah Spence to Ravens If Jags draft Ramsey as many speculate, Ravens get pick of Bosa or Spence. If not, Ravens get Ramsey or Spence to choose from or Stanley if KO leaves. Not a bad scenario with 3 impact players to choose from plus some other good pass rushers still on the board. They said Bosa is not a good fit for 3-4 defense but many say he can play on the edge as OLB with his speed and power and DT and DE on the line with his quick first step but he's not another white hope of JJ Watt. He doesn't have JJs size or power or speed. In those scenarios Bosa will be a very real possibility depending on what the Jags do.
  18. And this: Oher was the most penalized player in the NFL during his time in Baltimore with all those false starts and holding penalties killing a ton of drives. I'm sure you remember them. Tenn fans laughed at his signing with them because that's all they knew about Oher - all those false start penalties and they continued there and in Carolina but Oher blames the movie while you blame his jerking up and down the line-lol. Michael Oher, offensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens, is the most frequently penalized NFL player since 2009. In these years alone, he has drawn 26 false start penalties and 15 holding penalties. Of the 21 players listed above, 10 are offensive linemen (11 if you include Lions TE Brandon Pettigrew). Philip Rivers as the third most penalized player in the NFL is a bit of a surprise. Rivers has been called for 32 delay of game penalties since 2009, 12 of which came in 2010. That is quite a lot and is pretty strange, as avoiding delay of game penalties is not all that difficult with an organized offense. Perhaps the problem here stems from something other than Rivers.
  19. But don't take my word for it. Here's a pic and comment from own fan that he looks like he's on ice. His feet are so nimble, he looks awkward and he still has his hands up under the arm pits or close to them like he's wrestling the guy instead of using his arms like a stun gun. One reason perhaps is because his arms are not NFL ready in length. CAM was also sacked 7 times in game for 68 yards in losses, I think it was, as to 4 for Manning. Carolina did have more running yardage than Denver 118 to 90 yards but that didn't do them any good because Von Miller kept runing around and thru the o-line. So much for Oher's run blocking. He still gets 74 rating from PFF. http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2016/2/8/10937512/michael-oher-sliding-super-bowl-panthers-broncos
  20. Who's being selective. Youre stating a specific stat not the overall picture like PFF rating him # 74 out of 85 players. He made the team by default. There was no competition. He said he struggled with fundamentals in Tenn. He did here too. He had no fundamentals here. He kept blocking like a pro wrestler throwing his man down by getting under his arm pits instead of using his hands as a stun gun and knocking his man back and it got him injured He was blown away in he SB. The entire line was which is why they lost. They were helped to the SB by being in the worse division in football that got even worse when Luck went down in Indy. The theme of no competition keeps haunting Oher and don't forget all those drives he killed here with all those fast starts off the line and a ton of penalties.
  21. LOL - Talk about Ravens fans making excuses, his own mother said he was bad in Indy - ILMAO. Unlike certain fans in this forum, she made no excuses for her son's bad game in Indy where he was killed on the right side. I'll tell you guys a funny story about Oher's mother and me. I seem to keep running into married women. I ran into LeeAnne the most beautiful women I ever saw next to my gal in Looneys. I was walking out the door to go out on a Fri night when the phone rang. It was my best friend whom I traveled all over the country with following the Ravens. Weve been to every stadium in the country. We went around with about 100 Raven maniacs and spent $10,000 pr yr on football games and those were just the road games. So he calls me at 8 and has an extra ticket to the Indy PO game the next night. His wife was sick and couldn't go so I jumped at the chance. I had stopped traveling by then because of my lungs. I kept a lot of cash around because friends were always calling me to go to Vegas or NY or some place. So the next day I'm on the plane at noon for Indy. We got in about 3;30, picked up the rental. We had another guy with us from Aaron's board. We went to where a big party was but the line was like 5 blocks long. We found another party w/o too many people in it but it was ok. WE had tickets on the 50 yard line in the club level. Most fans don't know this but the Ravens keep tickets back that the players don't use and send them to guys they know that follow them around, so my friend got 2 tics. I was sitting next to Bisciotti's secretary. I hadn't wised up yet and when she said she was a secretary for the Ravens I asked if she knew Bisciotti and she laughed and said I think so. The gal next to her told me. So the game started and old Teddy boy knows I yell and scream for my team and even lead Ravens cheers in front of my section. Once after a Denver game Billick was doing a presser and said I looked up in the stands and saw this crazy Ravens fan leading Ravens fans in front of 30,000 Denver fans. Balls, that guy could play on my team any day but in actuality I was cut from my high school team. So I'm yelling for the Ravens and Ted said shut up your making too much noise. I said fuck you Ted, you know what I always do at these games. He said that's LeeAnne in front of you, youre disturbing her. I laughed and didn't believe him. Thought he was drunk. So in the 2d half we're losing bad and the entire o-line is getting killed and especially Oher at RT. Mathis-sp was running by him all night. So I start yelling where's the blind side guy, where's the blind side guy. Ted said shut up man, that's his mother in front of you ass hole. I still didn't believe him so I leaned forward and said are you really LeeAnne and she said yea. Man, I just sank in my seat and started to cry. She laughed and said that's Ok, they're all playing a bad game. Now there's a woman that knows football more than certain posters in this forum-lol. She said did you come all the way out here from Baltimore to see this game. I said yup and she was impressed. I said we go to all the road games and she was even more impressed. She didn't know anyone down south that did that. She was holding my hand and I was getting a little nervous with her husband next to her - Sean but he never looked our way and she gave me a big hug. They must have had a fight before the game because he didn't talk to her or look at her the entire game. His sister and her husband were sitting next to them. LeeAnne kept talking to me and I told her about a school and church on Oher's side of town that has the same belief's as hers in Memphis. He could get involved with them if he wanted to and she thanked me and said she'd mention it to her. On the way out Bisciotti's secretary said your friend sure is feisty as I'm sure she told Bisciotti the story on Monday. That was the last Ravens game I went to. Polian, their GM said Ravens would have won the SB that year if they just had a blue chip receiver. They just had Mason and we shut him down in second half but I disagree because the line was still crummy with Oher on it. We lost that game in the trenches.
  22. Thats because they have a QB named Super Man scoring all those points in spite of Oher, and we still won with that defense. Finding fault with Oher is easy like when TP snuck up on him to sack Joe and winning the game. Oher had no idea what to do and he said he saw him. Um, like us in the POs and SB they won in spite of him and don't forget he's in the easiest division in football as Carolina tore up everyone even beating Seattle, GB and and another PO team - the Skins of all teams-lol. They won because of all the points Super Man put up.See link. They had an easy schedule plus Luck went down so that took care of the Dolts. I laugh at Ravens fans that still give excuses for Oher failing here. He was too dumb to learn the zone blocking scheme. His last year here, he just stood there wondering who to block but Gino and Shipley couldn't learn it either and all were gone at the end of the year. Gruden said on TV that Oher is dazed and confused out there and has no idea whom to block and that was a couple of years before the ZBS. It's easy to block when you're in the weakest division in football. That automatically gets you into the POs but what happened in the SB vs the eventual champs. The Panthers entire fucking o-line got pushed back from the first min til the last by Von Miller and company and especially on Oher's side. Oher made LT for lack of competition but he was terrible in TEnn last year because of fundamentals so Matsko who was his line coach here in his rookie year got him back on the fundamentals. He also had a nagging toe injury his last year in Bmore and got away from fundamentals here. So youre leaving out a ton of stuff about how bad he was here. Even he said he messed up on fundamentals here and especially Tenn. Oher said the book and movie have hurt his NFL career but he's on his 2d SB team and 3 team altogether and has made over $20M. Cam Super Man recruited Oher asking the front office to sign him. Here's another stat. Ravens only won 64% of their games with Oher playing including the SB even though he gave up a big sack and almost got Joe killed on the miracle pass in Denver. PFF ranks him 74th best out of 85 for a reason. And not a good one. http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/schedule/_/name/car/carolina-panthers
  23. Dallas is going to take Treadwell, anyway.
  24. Aiken was listed as 19th best of the 25 breakout players in the NFL they rated this year. He was literally the last man standing amongst the WRs and stepped up with 944 yards and 5 TD only 5% were drops. He is a restricted free agent but wants to stay here. Literally all Ravens WRs went down for the year except Aiken. BTW, guess who their #1 breakout player was? Give up? You got it - Tyrod Taylor in Buff first year of starting was a great success. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-212-One-Raven-Makes-Top-25-NFL-Breakout-List/327997b4-37a0-4dd5-a359-282109adf5e7
  25. The Ravens will get one of these impact players for sure. I have a sick feeling Jones will steal Treadwell from us like he did DEZ. NFL.com thinks it's a QB but Jerry said they can wait another year and he wants a WR. That would be Treadwell. There are a couple of other WRs listed here but not in first round, I don't think. If KO leaves I would be very excited to get Ronnie Stanley but he might be gone too. I've seen mocks that have the best 2 LTs going in the first 4 rounds and some mocks have Tunsil, LT, as the best player in the entire draft going # 1 but we can put any of these guys in and forget about the left side like with JO. The other thread I posted has Taylor Decker of Ohio State as the Ravens #1 pick @ 6 and I said no way they leave Bosa and Ramsey on the board for him but this link has him as the 4th best LT in the game. He wouldn't be bad either and neither would the guy from Michigan State listed before him in this link. Either way, we'll be in good shape if KO leaves and we'll still have Monroe if he can play or an impact rookie. Someone said they like Noah Spence for edge rusher and he's listed on this link as 2d best for his position and of course Bosa as the best pass rusher and perhaps player in the draft but he seems to be falling. If the 2 LTs are taken in the top 4 plus the 2 QBs, Ravens are in line for either Treadwell, Bosa, Ramsey or Hargreaves or one of these other impact players. It will be someone good. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/photos/photo-gallery/Mayocks-Top-5-At-Ravens-Positions-Of-Need/a4386831-d3b4-4c50-ae3a-dfa4182e1636#start
