  1. The Ravens salary cap for 2012 can actually be as high as 132.5 million. We can carry over 6m from 2011 that wasn't used plus we can borrow 1.5m from future years. Also, cutting Foxworth and Evans will clear out another 10 million.

    - Rice will be franchised

    - Grubbs will probably be overpaid by someone so the o-line will definitely need some work. Maybe Jason Brown will make a return if the Rams decide to dump that contract.

    - Everyone else is replaceable

  2. Perhaps Jimmy Smith and Sergio Kindle could have remedied some of our problems defensively but they were injured/inactive due to our wonderful head coach. I mean who really cares about offense or defense when you can lead the league in special teams? The Browns spectacular special teams always leads them to a 4 or 5 win season!!!

Also, who cares that Mark LeVoir has only been here a week longer than Gurode and has never played guard, I'll take the slightly more prepared yet inferior player every day of the week!!!

We probably would have lost this game either way but Harbs personnel decisions have been questionable at best.

  3. He can't. You saw him last year with the Titans.

\He's just a name and a memory. He's got tons of money...why come out for the vet min.

    That ship has definately sailed.

People thought he was done when he was with the Raiders too.

  4. Masons ego won't let him be a #3....insurance guy.

The Ravens have to force defenses to defend the whole field...not just the first 12 yards.

Got to make the call and find out if Randy Moss can still run.

  5. Thank You Bengals!!!!!

Now that the Bengals have helped the Chiefs clinch the AFC West there's a good chance we avoid the Colts in the playoffs. The Chiefs play a meaningless game in week 17 against the Raiders while the Colts play a must win game against the Titans. With a Chiefs loss and a Colts win in week 17 the Ravens would travel to Arrowhead instead of Lucas Oil.

    All that aside...GO BROWNS!!!

  6. Rex learned it from Billick. It's the same as the 2000 Ravens.

    On Defense:

Use a suffocating defense to keep the score low.

    Stop the Run.

Get after Flacco. Blitz, pressure, hurry to force the turnover.

Get off the field on 3rd down (they were great at that last year) to help win the field position and time of possesion battle.

    On Offense:

Run the Football and get 2-3 big plays from Sanchez. Limit his throws to safe ones.

Avoid the costly turnover. Punting is good.

This is where I think the Ravens will beat the Jets. Don't commit penalties (I'm talking to you Oniel Cousins) and we'll have too many weapons to be stopped on 3rd and short. I'll take Ray Rice out of the backfield or Housh against Kyle Wilson all day for a 3rd down conversion.

  7. Since when (recently) has this not been done? this franchise is grasping to hold and promote any ray of hope...; the marketing is as bad as anything else.

Yesterday I saw a commerical on MASN promoting Derek Jeter...why the hell are we promoting the Yankees players? Another horrible one is Adam Jones being a 6 tool player because he can chew gum. Everything about this organization is disgraceful.

  8. Yet another solid starting effort is wasted; WTF...

According to the post-game show, Bergeson is only charged with 4 ER, so he doesn't get the loss...who does? this stuff confuses me. Hendrickson? this bullpen is truly distressing...

This loss is completely on Trembley. Pulls Berken after 1 batter and puts in Hendrickson to get the lefty matchup...lefties are hitting .333 off Hendrickson and only .194 off Berken. By far the worst manager in baseball!

  9. No I am very much not for bringing in FA's. They do not work. I am for always having good young talent rolling in and pushing out the old. As for letting the face of the franchise go if you win then the fans will be there. I am for rings instead of faces of the franchise. I would go for a combination of what the steelers and pats do to form their teams. They have racked up the SB wins over the past decade.

Ah well I think people here think it is Madden. I read many pie in the sky wants. There are many more big trades that are one sided than the Cowboys/Vikes one.

If you could you should go back and see some of my predictions. I was dead on with Clayton being a bust, Cmac imploding, being a bad move to reup Reed. I think Ray's and Suggs deals will haunt the franchise.

The Pats haven't won any SuperBowls since they started their "everyone is replaceable" mindset. What big names have the Steelers let walk in recent years? Only ones coming to mind are Burress, Porter, and Randle El, who wasn't that great to begin with.

Who did you want instead of Clayton? Cmac was one of the best until his knees went to shit...how do you predict injuries?

You're not a fan of signing free agents and we're not picking early in the draft, how else do we spend money? Resigning our own.

Are you Peter Angelos? You have a baseball team in last place that needs your attention, the Ravens are fine.
