  1. I know that, especially in these harsh economic times, it is a business and trying to keep everybody does not seem possible but Im optimistic. In Ozzie we trust! I do want to point out that if i remember correctly Scott took a smaller contract to stay with the ravens than he couldve gotten on the market because he "wanted to stay with the team that gave him his shot as a special teamer." anyone remember this? it was in SI article about his hit on jen in 2006

  2. Landry is a stud, he was recieving such high praise from the coaching staff all through offseason up until he was injured for being the most motivated gym rat on the team. Odds are Leonhard is out just because wee dont have money for him. its a shame bc he is a huge part of this run we are having.

I would love to see a 5 db formation but i know that it will not be our base D. maybr dawan can put on some mass and we could let him play LB. is that idea so farfetched?

  3. i love the 5 db concept, been thinking about it since leohard started to shine. I hope he won't be too expensive to keep, the starting D would be Pryce Ngata Gregg Suggs Lewis Johnson Mcallister Washington Leonhard Landry Reed playing a 4-2-5, are you kidding me? thats so much talent. With Rolle bannan Mckinney mclain barnes Zibby Walker and hopefully t-good and burgess coming in to spell! Looks like a group that could contend with 2000 for the record books.

  4. the injuries may carry over but everyone will play. Did you all see rachel nichols with T-sizz? She asked him if he was going to play next week and he pointed to OJ Brigance and said there is no way he won't play knowing what OJ would give just to play one more snap

  5. Very well said VA, agree with everything.

Koch has been kicking so well, look what the chargers kicker did for them against the colts. Look at what Kyle Richardson did for us in 2000. Hauschka will be kicking it deep not stover. One thought Ive had is our concerns with Stover's lack of range early in the season haven't come up in recent weeks. Do you trust stover to hit a 50 yarder that could be crucial in a game bound to be a field position battle? Id rather see Koch pin them deep and let the organized chaos loose. I feel great because unlike billick, i trust harbaugh to judge the position of the game and make the right call. The fake field goal against Dallas may be favorite moment of this season... so far

  6. Thanks. Good luck against Tennessee. Tough game; Tenn will be tough. But with those monsters on the Ravens D coupled with that solid o line and running game, not to mention a remarkably calm and cool rookie QB, you have to like the Ravens' chances. And although I don't have the stats on the following statement, in the divisional playoff round I like a physical team like the Ravens that is not rusty over an idle team. Of course, with all the wrong things I have said here these last few days, maybe you would prefer that I called for a Titans victory. So I'll say Titans win if you want me to.

Oggie thanks for the support and thanks for coming back. Leaving dolphins stadium i was impressed by how many dolphans congradulated me and wished us luck.

Fortunately fo us it doesn't matter who you pick on saturday, Ray Lewis will tell you that all that matters is sixty minutes.

  7. The deep balls that were barely missed were hurried drastically by a the pass rush. Joe made the right read and did not hesitate to heave it downfield. Id rather have overthrown balls for incomplete passes than underthrown balls for interceptions.

Also in the interviews on BR.com, Willis makes mention that Flacco changed the call to the QB draw. What confidence for a rookie! We are very lucky to have him and i know that people will say their criticism is realism not pessimism, but we'll agree to disagree.

The important thing is that Joe doesnt give a crap about what anyone has to say, except his coaches and the scoreboard.

  8. The statline says it all. There was no need for Rice who mightve been out of sync with the offense.

Leron 19 car 75 yards TD

Willis 7 car 62 yards... almost 9 ypc

Great balance, great situational usage by cam, and i bet this week Rice will be in the game after a week of being healthy.

Couple things... how great was ngata's pancake on Reed's return.

Also I like the one instance of the Suggs package(or just Troy in at qb), people said it was a stupid call because everyone knew the draw was coming. If he gets the first it is a statement call that says we are going to run the ball and there is nothing you can do about it.

  9. Chuck Pagano

He knows the players and with Reed Landry and Leonhard healthy he could scheme very well around an amazing secondary.

All I can think about is miami, but if we get healthy and continue to build upon our defense's already stellar depth we could see another record setting unit

Losing Hue Jackson would suck, hes doing amazing work with our young talented Oline

  10. This is stupid. I enjoy blind faith and I have it in Willis. I can't wait to see him go off on sunday.

Just like bounties didn't really mean bounties, Willis wasn't calling out his coach he just cracked under the pressure of the media. Read the interview transcripts on the website, so many questions are worded in a way to provoke drama and therefore a story. Willis doesn't handle a podium very well ("Coach Matsko said we're are going to block it like this and block it like that, and I'm like well ok" NFL replay), we can't expect much from him on live talk radio. The locker room doesn't care about this, neither do the dolphins. We are ready for this game and if Ozzie and Co. think Willis needs to go after the season, I have faith in them.

Or willis might acclimate to Harbs workout regime and become the sgnature back in our young record-setting backfield, and then all of this will be a faint comedic memory.

I respect and appreciate the realists on this board because they keep me level-headed, but when it comes to our Ravens my overwhelming impulse is always blind optimism.
