  1. Aaahhh but he didn't did he? Oher did. It's on you to go half empty over half full. But out of the time he was here, we were in the playoffs 80% of the time. It seems that we did well with him most of the time. I'm not saying he was great or anything but piling on the guy after mostly success is a bit much to me. Some act as if he's the main reason we were mediocre last yr. he had a bad yr. I can accept that. Stop the hate, congratulate and move on. Positive vibes bring positive results. I save my vitriol for other teams mostly. If we get rid of a guy, why pepper him with insults while he's going out the door? Now if we play the titans....have at it. Oher has done some good work for us. He wasn't a train wreck the whole time or a locker room cancer.
  2. See how easy it is? I hope the next guy helps us to a SB in his first 5 yrs off his rookie contract. I hope he's better too but mostly I hope we get a SB in the next 5yrs
  3. Calm down Rasta. These dudes have a plan that they can't share with us and they know their evaluations of what's on the roster. Last week, most of us were tied up about Monroe and look how it turned out. Trust the process. We all get concerned but remember who we are talking about and trust the process.
  4. RBs are a dime a dozen these days. You can effective ones late in the draft or as Rookie FA. We may draft a TE. We may have our RT already and still have a shot at Mack for C. I do wonder about FS. This is a deep draft. We may cover it all. At least most of it.
  5. I really hope you're wrong about Ray Rice. The contract alone makes me hope you're wrong but I have to be honest and say that I was saying the same thing as I watched last yr. I hope it was the hip but he didn't look right in game 1.
  6. If you think he's substandard that's fine but I think the guy has heart. We won with him and he did what we asked of him. Joe got enough of those rockets off to get us to the playoffs, 3 AFCC, and a SB. That's because Oher did do SOME blocking. He wasn't perfect. He wasn't consistent. I agree to that but to act as if he got beat 90 % of the time is not right. Let the dude move on. He's a SB winner and that's to be commended. Now we look to find a more consistent RT.
  7. oh, I didn't catch on. I'm not near home either. Stationed inKansas now so I don't think I'll get any game close to go to.
  8. Most other improvement will come thru the draft and any teams that have to make unfortunate or unforeseen cuts later. If there's a D smith type move out there, I'm sure the FO will pounce.
  9. He went home more or less. Happy trails.
  10. Got our man!!!! Now what's left under the cap and what do we do with it?
  11. Understood School. You're right. Graham was starting material and neither Brown or Jackson are at this point in their careers. Maybe they can develop tho. As was stated earlier, no one knew about Graham before he HAD to start here.
  12. True school. But I would love for us to find a guy that's trending up. But you get the best of what's there. No confidence in anyone on the roster huh?
  13. demons? Do you mean the fact that he was beat up and was just a shell of his former self? Steve put all he had left in that first yr and just didn't have enough to finish and not much the next yr. his demons were what killed him. We needed Steve a couple yrs before we actually got him. Smith should be good for 2 good yrs. enough time to find a replacement
  14. Samuel is too much of a gambler. Finnegan is scrappy but was always a little overrated to me, now his biggest fan has given up on him, Fisher. Pass for me. I'd prefer to make that call to Browner, School. I will say that if Samuel could play disciplined in our system....just don't think it's his m.o.
  15. FO is just letting him find his value. If he finds a nice landing spot, they will say so long and move on. If it's slim pickings, he'll have us to come back to...Maybe. Oher has done all that has been asked of him without complaint. He's versatile but he's not a full time LT. That's all
  16. A lot of piling on Oher but we won with him more times than not. That's what I remember most. He had a down yr and his false starts became a problem after it seemed he had gotten it under control but if he takes a contract for a second tier RT, I say keep him and let the coaches work it out. In looking at his whole time here, versus Gino's, I think it reveals that Gino is more of the problem and Shipley wasn't good. Backup for a game maybe but guards need to root people out and he never got much push. That's why Ozzie said what he did about our line's interior
  17. Didn't know about the meds. I thought he got his anger issues under control. I guess it tookl meds
  18. You think? I wonder if Browner is our type of guy. Off subject here. Does anyone know if he is related to Joey Browner and that family? I've been wondering about that
