Quarterback Joe Flacco should be fully prepared to play in the season opener against the Bengals on Sept. 10, but he wonât be game ready.

Besides money, the other reason a team plays in the preseason is to duplicate real game conditions, which it canât do in practice. Teams can bring in crowd noise...
