For Jeremy Maclin, the year before he signed with the Ravens was painful, disappointing and ultimately, infuriating.

First, one of his closest childhood friends, whom heâd fallen out of touch with, died unexpectedly. Then, the former Pro Bowl receiver tore his groin and watched his production plummet....
