ExtremeRavens Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago We asked readers how they would grade the Ravens after their first two games of the season. In Week 1, Baltimore collapsed in the fourth quarter in a 41-40 loss to the Bills. In Week 2, the Ravens dominated the Browns, 41-17. The Ravens (1-1) host the Detroit Lions (1-1) in Week 3 on “Monday Night Football.” Here are the results from our online poll: B — 59% (183 votes) C — 33% (103 votes) A — 4% (13 votes) D — 2% (7 votes) F — 1% (2 votes) Here’s what some fans have told us about the team’s first two games (answers have been edited for clarity and grammar): Don’t let Sunday’s game fool you. The Ravens’ defense still isn’t that good, and unless they find a way to pressure the quarterback more, this team might be in trouble. They did a better job in pressure, but Joe Flacco is a 40-year-old quarterback with no mobility. This was a 10-3 game at halftime, and despite Lamar throwing four touchdowns, he wasn’t very accurate at all. He should have thrown at least two interceptions. A win is a win, but the jury is still out on this team. — Bob Lancione All we have learned over the first two games of the season is that the Ravens’ defense is not elite. And the Ravens’ offense struggled in the first half against the Cleveland defense. We will find out a lot more over the next four games, all against opponents who were in the playoffs last year. — Robert The score from the Browns game was deceiving. The offense sputtered for much of the game against a less-than-stellar Browns defense. In the Bills game, the defense completely collapsed, blowing a 15-point lead with four minutes to go. This is not what “Super Bowl contenders” look like. On the bright side, the defense turned it around in the second half of the season last year. Let’s hope it doesn’t take that long this year. — John Devine They’re still not using the weapons available. Spread the joy and keep everyone happy. The Game plans and play calling are not as crisp as in previous seasons. Poor utilization of tight ends. — Ross B-minus, I love the Ravens but they need to start off strong and finish strong. — Debbie Muir I’ll give them a B. Most points scored in the NFL thus far but there are still plenty of facets of the game to work on. The Ravens should have beaten the Bills, to be honest. — Kevin Peters Good minus the last four minutes of the Bills game. They have put up 81 points in the first two games. — Adam Sweitzer With Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow out and Aaron Rodgers in Pittsburgh, we’ll definitely be winning the division. Playoffs?! Playoffs?! That’s the big question! — Gary Holtman Jr. B-minus, the Ravens are a playoff-caliber team that will fall short of a championship. — Michael The Baltimore Sun reader poll is an unscientific survey in which website users volunteer their opinions on the subject of the poll.
