ExtremeRavens Posted yesterday at 05:52 PM Posted yesterday at 05:52 PM The Los Angeles Rams will be calling Oriole Park at Camden Yards home for a week. The NFC West team faces the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m., then travels to London to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars the following week at Wembley Stadium. Instead of returning to the West Coast between games, the Rams have reached an agreement with the Baltimore Orioles to use Camden Yards as their practice site from Oct. 11 through Oct. 17, Michael J. Frenz, executive director of the Maryland Stadium Authority, announced at the agency’s monthly meeting on Tuesday. M&T Bank Stadium was not an option because of concerns about maintaining the field’s grass surface, Frenz said. “They would not have been able to get it in condition for the next Ravens home game, so they went to the Orioles,” Frenz said. “I think it’s an example of the cooperation of the two teams. I think it’s really cool. They’re going to be using the playing field, banquet areas, Orioles clubhouse and the visiting clubhouse.” Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed. However, the Rams will cover all expenses associated with using the facility, including staff and security costs. The team will also sign waivers against claims for loss or injury and pay for insurance, according to the Maryland Stadium Authority. The practices will be closed to the public. The agreement was reviewed by the Maryland Attorney General’s Office for “legal adequacy,” Frenz said, and received the backing of the Maryland Stadium Authority Board. “I agree that it’s a great use of the facility and a demonstration of a partnership,” said Craig A. Thompson, chairman of the Maryland Stadium Authority. Have a news tip? Contact Todd Karpovich at tkarpovich@baltsun.com or on X as @ToddKarpovich. View the full article Quote
