  1. Congrats on a great season. Forget this Lewis thing. If the Ravens want him, they won't lose him. Lewis won't be stupid and go to the mess that is the Dallas Cowboys when he finally has a QB that can lead the team. The Ravens just made it to the conference championship; Dallas couldn't even make the playoffs. And Lewis ain't getting any younger. His best chance at another ring is where he is. But if the Ravens don't want him, then you've got a problem. But that won't happen. See you next year.
  2. I'll have to do something to change that--but not today. Good luck!
  3. Ravens 26; Steelers 16 I am concerned about the injuries. But I think Flacco is going to be the story. Good luck raven fans. I am hoping the Fins lost to the superbowl champs.
  4. Good Luck ravens fans. I think you'll sleep just fine tonight after Ravens 17 Titans 13.
  5. Thanks. Good luck against Tennessee. Tough game; Tenn will be tough. But with those monsters on the Ravens D coupled with that solid o line and running game, not to mention a remarkably calm and cool rookie QB, you have to like the Ravens' chances. And although I don't have the stats on the following statement, in the divisional playoff round I like a physical team like the Ravens that is not rusty over an idle team. Of course, with all the wrong things I have said here these last few days, maybe you would prefer that I called for a Titans victory. So I'll say Titans win if you want me to.
  6. glad to hear you had a good and safe time at the game. I have been to football games and baseball games in many cities (including Baltimore) and the only city that has fans more likely to start a fight than miami fans are philly fans.
  7. thanks, but I will stick with the fins until the day I die---and hopefully even after that. But football is painful. And tonight I have to watch my buckeyes lose--- and I am out of statistical arguments on that team. And then Thursday I will be forced to watch the hated Gators win another one. So this is definitley not a good football week for me.
  8. Congratulations Ravens Fans. I have read all in this thread and I deserve it all. Obviously, not what I expected out of Pennington--and the Ravens D played its game. Hats off to Flacco--he scared me going into this game and my only hope was if this rookie losing stat would work in Miami's favor. But I was wrong on that and a lot more. Miami has more rebuilding before it can play with the Ravens. Miami will be back. Good luck with the Titans and hopefully you can get the Steelers. Good luck.
  9. calling harb a creep was a joke. Fisher is in it--but I think it will go to a rookie. It's just an amazing thing to do what Smith, Sporano and "harb" have done ths year. It truly proves the power of good coaching to turn a franchise around in one year, as a rookie. And to have 3 doing it the same year? There has to be a stat on that!
  10. You sound just like the Mayor of Delusionville. You're right---after all, who did Joey Porter get all those sacks against...blah blah blah blah. Now is a good time to get that "gas" you talked about yesterday. "Dude", you're going to need lots of it.
  11. Looks like today's game will decide Coach of the Year honors. With all 3 candidates (Sporano, Smith and the creep from Baltimore) doing such a great job, it's only fitting that a playoff game will decide the winner.
  12. You are mighty cocky and arrogant. But there's a reason why they play the game. Just ask Indy. Your team is on the road facing a team that has won 9 of 10 NFL football games. And you're overlooking this team? You're a liar. Period. On second thought, don't take any crap today from the Miami fans at Joe Robbie. Be the jerk you are and wear that black eye proudly--you'll look just like Joe Flaccid will look after a little greeting from Joey Porter. Turn out the lights...the party is over...Miami 13 Baltimore 10.
  13. Division winners, like San Diego and Arizona, playing at home in the wild card round and winning? Nothing new there. Miami 13 Baltimore 10.
  14. It's a playoff crowd that will be plenty drunk and rowdy by 10 a.m. when they open the parking lot gates. Seriously, if people talk crap to you, just let it go. I've been there for many playoff games over the years and I have seen lots of fights at the Orange Bowl and Joe Robbie. Just let it go.
  15. You don't know me so don't assume what I will do. If the fins lose, I'll be back to eat my crow and congratulate the knowledgeable fans in this forum. If the fins win, I'll be back with some "final thoughts". But either way, I will be back. I am originally from Miami (aventura) but I live in las vegas now. If you're going to the game, enjoy it. But be careful with the rowdy groups in the corners. If you are sitting there, the Miami fans there like to start fights with opposing fans, usually around the 3rd quarter. But most fans won't bother you. And you'll have plenty of ravens fans around you. Good luck.
  16. If that floats your boat, go ahead and handicap the statistic. Whatever gets you through the night.
  17. Thank you for inviting me back. I can't wait to see some of the real cocky members that have predicted 3 or 4 touchdown victories by the ravens come back here tommorrow with their tails between their legs. Let's see what they have to say after the Ravens get an old fashioned beat down in Miami.
  18. And the trend continues as rookie QBs have a hard time winning playoff games, especially on the road. Today it was Matt Ryan, the offensive rookie of the year. Tommorrow it is Flacco. Welcome to the playoffs where 77.7% of rookie qbs lose their first playoff games. Rest well Mr. Flacco--tommorrow you learn a valuable lesson. Enjoy the show.
  19. Don't worry, the Ravens are not evenly matched with the dolphins. Miami 13 Baltimore 10.
  20. Boy, you really made a compelling argument in support of what I said earlier. Baltimore has the best defense. That is the only opinion I ever stated on the Baltimore defense. So we are in agreement there. But you went one step too far in talking about Baltimore's playoff defense. I am sure it has been stellar. But the real numbers regarding the playoffs is that Ray Lewis & Co., as good as they are, are 0-2 in their last two playoff games. And despite having the best defense in the league overall the last 6 years, Baltimore has not won a playoff game. Of course, now you will respond and point out the fact that this Ravens team is different because of Flacco, and I will give you no argument there. But I'll take my chances with a tough Miami team playing at home against a rookie quarterback, coached by Cam Cameron, in the playoffs any day.
  21. Special teams concerns about the Fins? Absolutely, although they have made some changes in that department. But I hold my breath on every kick/punt return against the Fins. And although don't like Ted Ginn, I wouldn't be surprised if he (or Bess) broke one tommorrow because they have made changes. But I'll give the edge to Baltimore on that one. As for the crowd in Miami, Joe Robbie is no Orange bowl for crowd noise. But Miami fans will be there for the playoffs and they will be loud. As for yuor home field advantage in Miami, don't pat yourself on the back. Every opponent playing in Miami against the Marlins or Dolphins has plenty of fans showing up at Joe Robbie; but Baltimore's contingent was small compared to most others. Good luck
  22. whatever it is that diminishes your mental capacity and caused you to make some real stupid remarks on this thread.
  23. about your comment that Chad isn't one to scramble and throw a bomb. I think that has more to do with the Miami receivers than it does with Pennington's arm. And I recall many a bomb he threw against Miami in years past even when he was scrambling. I remember those throws well. But I do acknolwedge that he can't throw it on the run like Big Ben.
  24. You're right. Anyhting can happen. Note that I am predicting a close game. But I think that with the game being played in Miami, a rookie QB going on the road in a playoff game (even thoough he was better on the road this year), a tough atmosphere, and all the points I have referred to, the slight edge goes to Miami in the turnover game, which I think determines the outcome. But I wouldn't be shocked or surprised if it goes the other way. These teams are that evenly matched, in my opinion, at least for the game played in Miami. but under these circumstances tommorrow, I like Miami 13-10.
