  1. Duuuuude... the games are always on somewhere on the Interwebs. :-) Not sure if the mods would appreciate me posting URL's, but if you Google for something like "first row sports", you might find it!
  2. Ahh, yes, my favorite: the dreaded commercial-kickoff-commercial sequence!
  3. Hey, everyone! It's Ron (fka "Heeeeeap"). Just remember, teams are only making "vanilla" play calls, so no worries if we lose this game 38-10. With that said, excited to see how the Center battle shapes off. The winner will make for a solid starter. We seem to have a quality secondary, and a markedly improved D this time around. Perhaps most critically, we need to figure out who's gonna catch the ball! We know guys like Rice, Torrey, and Jacoby will catch the ball, but who else? Who makes up for the loss of Boldin and Pitta?? EDIT: Only cause for concern: injuries! We've already had enough...
  4. Geez, guys. Tom Brady had time to check his make-up while in the pocket.
  5. Amazing how we had a kick-off specialist for YEARS (along w/ Stover); none of those guys could reach the endzone with consistency. Cundiff is doing yeoman's work.
  6. Ladies and Gentlemen... ANQUAN BOLDIN!
  7. I am blown away by this. Savor the fact that, assuming health all around, we're going to have a 4 WR formation later this year w/ Mason, Boldin, TJ Housh, and Donte Stallworth. EDIT: of course I'm the idiot that forgets Clayton. Who has the corners to cover that?! And a one year deal at the vet minimum? Just wow... Very good times.
  8. Adam Terry signed with San Diego today, BTW. Would've been some nice insurance at OT.
  9. Very encouraging night for the starters. I think it's time to yank them and figure out who's gonna be out 6th safety or 8th wide receiver! (I might be exaggerating when I say "6th" or "8th", but you knew that.)
  10. Ugh, Flacco was having a great night until that pick and return. Bummer.
  11. A good defense will often make a good QB look bad. Especially a rookie.
  12. Frankly, it's easy for the Steelers to assess our WR's, know that they must double up on Mason, and single cover Clayton, and be effective. I'll be blunt. Mason is fine, but we need better WR's... at least someone other than Mason to have on the field. Flacco didn't have his best night, but I'm not so sure that he was pathetic. He only has so much talent at WR to work with. I'm thrilled with Flacco, and he did all of this as a rookie. Has any other rookie QB won two playoff games? Flacco will be fine.
  13. I figure that in spite of ALL the bad things that happened prior, and the fact that we simply didn't start fast to say the least, it could have all been overcome with a potential field goal on the drive, had it started from our own 40.
  14. Darren, what were you thinking? We were down two, within reasonable striking distance of a potential go-ahead field goal (our own 40), and then THAT personal foul?! Boy, I think he just cost himself a job here for next season. Mods: if someone else started this thread and I didn't find it by looking at topics, go ahead and wipe out this thread.
  15. Speaking of warm places, I just had to do something very depressing and cancel my flight and hotel reservations in Tampa for Super Bowl weekend. Uuuuuuugh.
  16. I'd respond with a "take a hike", but then people would think I was being rude and not referring to the Peyton Manning/Mastercard commercial!! :-) Enjoy your time in paradise.
  17. Am I in denial or why is it that I keep thinking there's no way Suggs will miss this game and that the Ravens are putting on some gamesmanship involving Suggs? Now Rolle, he may not be the player he once was, but I really worry if Rolle can't go. I don't see Frank Walker covering the Steelers #2 receiver very effectively. Groin injuries linger, so I can't imagine Rolle just being able to play very effectively, no matter how much they tape him up!
