  1. In my experience I have noticed that the NFL.com injury reports are not as detailed as the official team site injury reports. http://www.patriots.com/search/index.cfm?ac=searchdetail&pid=41270&pcid=47 That is just for the Pats/Texans game, but on the official site the Patriots list injury reports a couple times a week for each game. In my experience of looking at injury reports, which I do each week, the Patriots report is more detailed than most other teams. This however is in a stark and humorous contrast to the answers anyone would get about injures if they asked Belichick directly. Also, Brady's right shoulder has been surgically repaired in his career. And as I understand it, each team is required to report all injuries whether or not they cause a player to miss practice time or a game. This is why Brady has almost always been on the injury report with that injury. The last time Brady's shoulder was good to go completely was at the start of 2008 and he did not miss practice due to an injury or have an injury for the opener. Which of course was ironic as that game took him out for a year. Brady has been back on the report with that shoulder this year because Albert Haynesworth crushed Brady in a preseason game, the hit drilled Brady's shoulder directly into the ground and Haynesworth's full weight landed right on it. In the Pats/Texans game Mario Williams had an almost identical hit on Brady (which was clean btw don't get me wrong). It was that hit that caused the lame duck deep pass which Pollard picked off. Anyway, as for the report of "broken ribs" which were first reported by The Boston Herald (I believe it was) I can't put stock into that report. Maybe "cracked ribs" or "bruised rubs", but not broken. If Brady was playing with broken ribs he would run the extreme risk of puncturing a lung, one wrong move and definitely a hit would put Brady out if he had broken ribs. As for the "Brady rule". If a penalty should be thrown let it be thrown, but at the same time (like Rodney Harrison has said) I hate that the league seems to be becoming more and more flag football and favoring the offense penalty wise. With that said, I think Brady and MANY players in many positions (offense or defense) are whining on the field much more frequently about what should be called. However the perception of Brady whining all the time is not true. In just one example Brady was legitimately crushed several times in the Pats/Texans game and he didn't whine about anything to the refs during those hits. However Brady obviously felt he was pushed down well after the ball was away during that highlight from the game, when he was whining, and as I have said I hate when players do that, but it's just a case of in that scenario Brady thought he could get a call. Many players do it. Finally... here is hoping for a tough, hard nosed football game on Sunday. I and many Pats fans respect the Raven's hardcore football talent. Looking forward to a good game and I hope nothing outside of play on the field detracts from the outcome. Edit In: http://www.patriots.com/search/index.cfm?ac=SearchResults&subnav=news&searchstring=injury+report&PCID=41&PCID=47&PCID=43&PCID=45&PCID=42&PCID=44&PCID=48&PCID=46 I found an easy way to look at the Pats injury reports for the entire season. That's the link directly above. Brady's rib injury has been listed since after the Miami game at the beginning of December 2009. Thursday December 10th was the first time Brady's rib injury gets listed and it's been on the report since that time. I hope the info about official team injury reports versus those listed on NFL.com is helpful to you guys. It's just another one of those moments, for me, where the NFL.com's motto of "if you want the NFL go to the NFL" doesn't measure up. Often times, I've found, it's better to go as close to the source as you can. Again... here's hoping for a great game on Sunday!
