  1. Makes no difference that Bill Walsh wrote a book dumbass. I see it hasn't stopped Andy Reid from losing the big games. Whatta loser.
  2. Atlanta Falcons Blog says that Konz has been pushed around on the line and rotating between Guard - Bench -Center - Bench since he was drafted. Glad we went with Upshaw.
  3. I remember Vinny from 105.7's Rob and Vinny Show saying that Kunz was too fleshy and needed a lot of time in the weight room to make it in the NFL.
  4. Actually it is Andy Reid's WCO. You know, the one that's guaranteed to lose big games.
  5. Hindsight is always 20/20. Kindle, Cody, Pitta, Dickson, etc. looked good on paper that year but I guess you can't win 'em all.
  6. 2010? Oh, we had Matt Birk then and although I initially did not like the acquisition of Birk, he turned out to be a good stopgap C. Previously I was referring to 2012 when most mock drafts and so called experts had us drafting C Peter Kunz out of Wisconsin or Barrett Jones out of Alabama as Birk's replacement. Ozzie wisely went with Courtney Upshaw in the second round at #35 and later Kelechi Osemele in the seond at #60. Don't know if Jones was drafted and Kunz is on IR with Atlanta.
  7. So that means we have just 6 picks in this years' draft. We cannot afford looooooooong term projects ( Jah Reid ) or players who cannot suit up ( Campanero, Brown ). We need solid picks for the secondary, the LB corp, outside pass rusher, running back, and offensive line.
  8. There wasn't anything out there at C in 2012. The 2 best prospects according to the mock drafts and supposed draft experts were the kid from Alabama and the kid who was eventually drafted by KC ( I think ). Both were NFL busts.
  9. I do. This team is talent deep without bustin' the bank. O line problems of a season ago seemingly vanished overnight without bustin' the bank. Before injuries racked 'em, secondary looked good on papaer without bustin' the bank. The position at QB, however may wind up eventually bustin' the team and the bank.
  10. Nope, you should know by now that Ozzie works long term, that's why this organization is so good. If we thought short term, we'd be Oakland or worse, Washington.
  11. Whoa. Isn't everyone forgetting the big elephant in the room? Negotiated or non negotiated, Joe Flacco's contract will affect the cap figure for years to come. Discuss.
  12. ... soooooooo how many picks do we get in this years' draft?
  13. Can't always depend on comp picks. Going into the draft. we'll need a many true picks as possible.
  14. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Campanero cost us 2 picks?
  15. Draft priority will greatly depend on the number of picks we have this year. How many picks do we actually have this year? I know we foolishly traded away a few.
  16. You're gonna have to ask why Bryant was still there in the 4th round at #118. We got Gilmore AND later signed Smith jr. Why did Bryant fall so quickly and so low in a year when WR were at a premium.
  17. Benjamin is a beast but who do you overlook for him? Mosley? Jernigan? I can live with Ozzie's picks.
  18. Ozzie had his priorities, apparently defense was it. I can live with that.
  19. Oh for Godsake, Andy Reid's WCO........................ ( shudder ).
  20. You cannot argue against Ozzie's D picks last season instead of Benjamin, Mathews, etc. Besides, signing Smith Sr. more than made up for overlooking the rookie WR crop of last season.
  21. The optimal word in my last post was " upside ". Torrey Smith is 26 years old and hasn't come close to peaking, apparently, I'm not alone in that assessment.
  22. Lot of speed in the draft? Where? At 28th, 29th or 30th? Don't think so. Guys with size, Torrey speed, and Torrey work ehic will be long gone by the time we get to pick.
  23. If you don't resign Torrey, how do you replace that much speed in the line up? Picking so late in the draft? Free agecy? Answer: You can't replace that much speed. Torrey has irreplacable speed and too much upside to let go of.
  24. Yahoo says Ravens FO says they want to keep Justin Forsett and Justin Forsett says he wants to stay a Raven. How many times in the past have we heard this. It seems the Justin Forsett negotiation tricks have already started.
