  1. For what it's worth, we are 3 games better than last year, but I'm not even happy about that. This Raven team did not feel like the Ravens we are accustomed to. No rah rah or enthusiasm at all. Boring football for the most part. And the inability to put teams away when we had nice leads this season. And then the bone headed decisions/interceptions thrown by Flacco. Pretty sad for a $120 million man.
  2. Also, why is it that Pittsburgh and Cinci know how to draft good quality wide receivers, but we don;t? Maybe we need a new scout in that department.
  3. 100% agreement. Time is now to draft his replacement. Get while the getting is good.
  4. Maybe it is time to blow this team up and start over. Also get Joe to renegotiate his contract to get these numbers down. His salary cap is the main cause of our being unable to sign big name talent. 16 interceptions this year? And you want to continue to be paid $120 million? Get real Joe.
  5. Yeah, they've done alot of work in that area, but for the better.
  6. Yeah, they love him as much as SteveB. loves Harbs. How you making out Crave?
  7. It was clear from the beginning that this defense wanted this game bad. And they played like it the entire game. Minus one very good play by Tyrod and the Ravens D might have pitched a shut out. This defense swarmed like African bees out to kill. And what's amazing to me is that no one here even seems to have noticed. All I hear about is how bad the offense was, minus a couple of good plays. We have great fans in Baltimore, but certainly not here on this board. You guys would rather criticize than compliment. It's just sad to me.
  8. With Hester in the end zone, opponents will just kick the ball out of the end zone every time. Get very used to starting every series at the 25.
  9. Last year, the Ravens had 19 players on IR, including many star players. Yet in the last 8 games, our defense was a top 5 NFL defense. Yes, we have young players without alot of game time experience. But I guarantee that by game 7 or 8, the right fit will be in there and playing solid defense. This exhibition series has showed one wonderful thing. Our depth is outstanding and this is critical to a winning success. Barring injuries, fingers crossed, we should go 12-4 and win the AFCN. The Baltimore Ravens don't stay down for long. Bring on the Buffalo Bills. 24-17 and our first win of the season.
  10. Case closed. Put this in the Extreme Ravens file cabinet.
  11. Agree 150 %. Elam over Brooks? I dunno.
  12. So, with your deliberations concluded, your verdict is?
  13. Ryan Mallet or Josh Johnson? My pick is Johnson. Even though his pocket presence is not as good and he sometimes over throws a receiver, he forces positive things to happen when he is in there. What do you think?
  14. In another thread, I fell victim to too much negativity about this Ravens football team on this board. (I guess when everyone says they stink, you start to think like they do) I originally said they would go 12-4, but later said they were probably closer to an 8-8 team. My bad. After watching this team during the exhibition season, and comparing them to last year, one blaring thing just screams at me. DEPTH. Wow, does this team have depth, perhaps the best in the NFL. That is why I am re- prognosticating. 8-8-no way. 12-4, yes, and the AFCN division winner. These guys are alot better than you think.
  15. Great news. I love the way this kid runs.
  16. We're all keeping our fingers crossed. This guy is a natural talent. Please be a sprain or meniscus, please.
  17. Anything official on Dixon yet? I mean, come on, In a matter of seconds, both of our strength's, running back and tight end, become a little better than ordinary. Heartbreaking.
  18. Geez Max, after reading both articles, I'm wondering if it's not too late to take back what I just wrote.
  19. I will have to face reality and admit you guys know what you talk about. I know I am overly optimistic, but I've bled purple from day one in 1996. After watching the tape from the game last week, I have to rethink my argument that we are very strong at running back. I'm starting to think that Justin Forsett is a one year wonder, while West has talent, but makes poor decisions. I believe that Dixon will become the starting RB by the 6th game. Wide receiver? No, it just ain't there. On defense, we have some problems, but are correctable. Closer to 8-8 than 12-4. But, they are my team, always will be.
  20. Everybody-calm down! It's the frickin' preseason. Two freakin' games! We won both of them. Yes, we gave up a total of 171 yards on three defensive drives against two pro bowl QB's. both games. That does not mean they won't correct these problems. Stop crying like a bunch of sissy girls and get behind your team. Wusses.
  21. How about some blueberry brandy?
  22. 12-4 AND WIN THE DIVISION. Just play like a Raven and watch what happens, especially those last four vs. queen Brady, the Steelers who are intimidated by us, and then off to Cinci where we beat then in their own backyards. Ravens ain;t afraid of nobody. Nobody!
